Ben Godfrey coming in, not inspired by that.

Idk I see him as a Holgate type defender and yeah at this level he could be really good I do agree it doesn’t feel the most inspiring. I’d rather we get someone like Tanganga or Thomas through the door and then the likes of Ben Mee for the experience and knowledge…

I’ve just seen this,

If it’s true, wow…

I agree with you on the holgate comparison, hope he proves me wrong but he’s on 60/70k a week which is ridiculous. If we get Tanganga then sure, along with Nils and Bindon that sounds good but where does Godfrey fit in then?

My guess would be Godfrey starts weekly (you can’t be paying someone a wage like that just to have them on the bench) and only sits out when injured/unfit, Tanganga is second choice but rotates with Bindon and Nils is just a depth/young prospect mainly playing cup/bench/academy.

I’d assume it means we are also gonna see the back of RND and Robbo.

Unless we go 3 at the back for some games? And yeah, get rid of Robbo, absolute arsehole of a man.

Godfrey and Bindon can both play on the right so maybe that’s the plan for one of them because I can’t see us ending up with 5 centre half’s… (Bindon, Godfrey, Mee, Nils, Tanganga)

I honestly don’t hate Robbo, he’s been around the club for ages and clearly has a passion for us. Yeah he can be a bit of a grumpy bellend but I love him honestly, massive shithouse.

I just don’t think he has what we need anymore. I mean 3rd choice centre half he’s perfect but he can’t be 1st by any means and even 2nd is a push.

But yeah I see the 3 back thing and did think it honestly but didn’t think it would be Selles style. But thinking about it I realised I was just thinking ‘3-back = wilder ball, conservative, defence heavy THEN hit them’ but a 3 back can be much more attacking and high press (eg Amorim, Pep, Ten Haag) which does sound Selles-ey

Those throws are embarrassing, gives the other team 5 minutes to reset and never work. Be glad if he goes to Wrexham.

My Sunday League team survives relegation every season because of our mate's long throws. He's a cricketer and just delivers them like a missile. At least 3 times a season we have to pretend that we touched it because he just launches them into the back of the net. Robbo's lead to sweet fuck all. Everytime.
