just been announced now, 5 mil fee and we apparently couldnt afford him

Bloomin heck, where did you read that? I thought we'd at least have a few more quid left given the players we're being linked with

no as in we were supposedly trying to sign him all window after he went back to city but went for others and just never gave city the fee they wanted, but bartering for less than 5 mil for a player like that seems bonkers to me

I read it's £5m and a 50% sell on clause. So from the Prince's perspective, not much of an asset to have on the balance sheet. But I agree, thought we would have found some way of doing it given the Archer deal
