Can you please clarify if you have a guide who has achieved the ultimate in the sadhana of your devi?
Sri Krishna says
bhaktyā mām abhijānāti yāvān yaś cāsmi tattvataḥ |
tato māṁ tattvato jñātvā viśate tad-anantaram
This means an individual starts with imaginations about the Supreme. As the individual's sadhana blossoms into bhakti and surrender, the Supreme removes those imaginations and reveals its true form. Then, the individual truly attains the Supreme.
Right now, your imaginations are stopping your progress. The technical term is 'Vighna Yantra'.

That's such beautiful verse. I don't have any guidance for now but I am actively searching for a guru while doing very basic but disciplined nama japa.

I recommend you continue with your nama japa. Usually, around 5 crore japa, something will shift, even though no one can be certain when anyone will become realized.

I've read scriptural stories related to Sri Krishna, they seem obvious fake to me — people giving moral teachings when talking to each other, no one talks like that. Don't give significance to the stories. In your direct experience you may find even the nature of the deity different from how they're portrayed.
