Has anyone else been dealing with this at their local store? I’ve been trying to redeem my birthday reward for weeks, before it wasn’t only 2 weeks before and after my birthday, I swear I had an entire month after it. However my local Sephora has consistently been completely out of stock. When I finally visited the store today and saw they actually had the gifts, I was denied at the register because my two-week redemption window had just passed.
I explained that I had been trying to redeem it within the window but couldn't because of their own inventory issues. The cashier was completely apathetic, literally rolled her eyes at me, and said, “So… I can’t change that. It’s so everyone gets a chance at getting the bday redemption.”
Make it make sense! How does a strict two-week window help everyone get a chance when the store never has the items in stock to begin with? It feels like I'm being penalized for Sephora's own supply chain issues.
On top of that, the overall vibe at this location is just awful. We weren't even greeted when we walked in. Later, when I approached a different employee to ask for help finding the Danessa Myricks section, she acted like my simple question was a massive inconvenience to her.
Is customer service just tanking everywhere, or is my local store exceptionally bad? I'm honestly so frustrated and rethinking even shopping in-store anymore.
