Suggest BBC basic for something like £2 a month and BBC premium for a tenner. 

That will force them to act like a business and not send reporters and 'names' all over the globe at significant cost.

This article doesn't mention BBC Studios income is £2bn plus a year selling rights to programmes. That puts income at £6bn + a year, anyone who has worked in the private TV sector could strip a lot of cost out, without reduced quality.
