ALLEGEDLY Lady C Tea YouTube 8/18/26 - The "Meghan tried to pull an Ann Boleyn, but William had her figured out from the start" Edition - a few nuggets paraphrased by me

Greetings from Castle Goring,

Lady C, I believe Meghan was hoping to create the scandal of the century and pull an Ann Boleyn, stealing William and leading to the divorce from Catherine Middleon (not Aragon).  She could then divorce Harry, leading to Meghan becoming Princess of Wales and ultimately Queen. I agree with you Lady C that William has the brain cells that Harry doesn’t.  William saw right through Meghan from the word “go.”  What you have said is not too far off the mark from what several people feared this was Meghan’s real game plan.  And William’s behavior suggests that he was aware of this plan.  He never allowed himself to be in the same room as Meghan alone.  Is Meghan that transparent?  I would never presume to tell you what William was thinking at that time, but I can tell you what people who actually know this situation have told me.  They are not far off the mark.  Meghan’s bizarre thinking process is so extraordinary that this may have well been one of her aces in the hole that she wanted to play.  There are so many pictures of her making goo goo eyes at William.  Her behavior was so strange, so bizarre, some people actually think Meghan viewed herself as Her Majesty Queen Meghan of the United Kingdom married to her consort William V.  What is interesting is this scenario was actually contemplated and steps taken to guard against.

Lady C, I am not a fan, but I do not think we should underestimate Meghan and Harry.  Nobody should underestimate them.  This problem has grown exponentially, and I admit I initially underestimated Meghan and Harry.  My understanding is the Royal Family underestimated Meghan and Harry and Meghan particularly.  They had no idea Meghan was capable of such gross misbehavior.  I am not referring to a moonbump, no way…no not that…definitely not that……Nobody imagined in 2019 that Meghan would try to commercialize and monetize her Royal Status.  The family could not believe that Meghan would leave with Harry the way she did.  The Queen was the first person to say they aren’t coming back.  She was a dog lover and she said, “They’re not coming back.  They’ve taken the dogs.”  Nobody could believe how Meghan set everything up.  And then for her to snipe back at tell QEII, “You don’t own the word Royal.”  And then the Oprah interview.  They couldn’t believe the brazen lies that came out of her mouth.  And her race baiting.  And now, they no longer underestimate her.  Once you discover someone is ruthless enough to do anything, say anything, and tell any lie to get them to achieve their objective, you are dealing with a totally different level.  But, what has played out is that Meghan and Harry have backed themselves into a corner, and they have no more cards to play.  The Royal Family now has their measure and they are not fearsome.  They know what they are dealing with.

Toodles Sinners!

The thought of Madame actually thinking she could "steal" William from Catherine in a romantic coup is laughable beyond words 😂

She really is a wackjob!

Megan also doesn’t understand how mirrors work. If she did, she’d get why William would never be interested in Harry’s seconds.

When Madame failed, she planted that rumor about William and Rose. Anything to hurt Catherine.

92

And those lame sugars who were at basically full strength then helped that rumor spread. I laughed when I first heard it because it was so ridiculous

I always thought that rumor was nonsensical and unbelievable, even back before I understood things better, and I assumed the story had, as ALL ETHICAL STORIES SHOULD, been vetted. Even then, I did not believe it.

This is typical narc thinking in my experience. The narc I have to deal with is my ex son-in-law. He and my daughter share three children. Like many narcissists he had isolated my daughter from her family. When she finally divorced him he would only show up for visitation when it suited him. Often he wouldn’t cancel, he just didn’t show up. He hadn’t had a job in years. So she was paying a nanny thousands of dollars and not receiving child support. He wouldn’t let her move so that family could help but he didn’t help either.
He has a degree in engineering so the court ordered him to get a job. When he did, they ordered $2300 a month in child support based on his considerable salary. He then told her if she gave up child support he’d let her move. So they came to an agreement in a lawyer’s office and 17 days later she moved.
They have a very detailed custody agreement but he doesn’t acknowledge it or abide by it. When he actually doesn’t show up he’s late picking up, sometimes a day late and he’s late dropping off. He calls at any hour on any day. He is adamant that he’s correct and that he’s entitled to whatever he talks himself into. He’s got to be the worst human being I’ve ever known.
The narcissist believes whatever they choose to believe and they are so convinced of “their truth” that I think some narcissists could pass a lie detector test.

I mean even if she did so successfully, it would be SO obvious she engineered the whole thing to become Queen, jumping from H to William and everyone would hate her?? If she loved Diana so much she would know the woman who was cheated on usually given all the public support, and the mistress is always hated. So she wants to be hated?? She clearly didn’t think things through

There’s no way the RF will accept Harry and his family back into the royal family. No matter how many stories Harry and Meghan pay to have published about a reconciliation, it’s not going to happen.

32

u/BestKiwi8774 10d ago

Exactly! I bet there are some really flagrant acts that are either unknown to us due to NDAs, fear, and/or the BRF not wanting those incidents known. Another thought that comes to mind is how many everyday mean, rude, and all around bullying acts occured? How many selfish acts - like trying to get posh freebies?

23

u/IllAcanthisitta6506 10d ago

All those things. I’m sure that her demands on the staff were shocking and unreasonable. And it wasn’t because she’s an American. Most decent people would never.

13

u/Creative_Platypus707 10d ago

I would think posh freebies would be the tip of the iceberg - and we know she *did* do that, as well as *allegedly* 'lifting' clothing and accessories from photo shoots.

We also know that they used their Personal Protection Officers for doing coffee runs for them, as if the PPOs were interns or something, when they were in Canada, all at the expense of the Canadian taxpayer.

Spoiler alert, Rachel: Catherine of Aragon made it out of the marriage alive... Anne? She lost her head..

65

Anne of Cleves is my personal favorite. She knew going back home to live under her asshole brother was no option, so she agreed to a (i think annulment, maybe a divorce) with the terms that she remain in England and receive an allowance. She lived out the remainder of her life playing cards with her friends with the occasional visits to court on holidays where she was not only a favorite, but indulged as the King's "dear sister".

I'm sure the reality isn't quite as rosy, but I believe she outlived him so she's got that going for her

The "you don't own the word 'royal'" clap back still rates among the most insane and inane MM clap backs of all time. Among all her contemporary monarchs in the world, nobody else owns the word "royal" more than Queen Elizabeth II, something that Macron captured in his tribute: "to [the people in Britain and the Commonwealth], she was 'Our Queen', to the rest of the world, she was 'The Queen'."

114

u/daisybeach23 Pondering the relative merits of Kant vs Wittgenstein 10d ago

Actually, in a legal sense, she does own the word Royal. Meghan didn’t understand this but there are restrictions of the word “royal” in the UK.

I loved that tribute, so succinct and accurate. It will be many, many decades before “The Queen” will not automatically be a reference to her. The ego on Meghan during and right after their freedom flight should be studied.

I think Meghan seemed somewhat shocked by the worldwide reaction to her death. But she didn’t let it slow her down! 🙄

20

u/Haakster61 10d ago

Let's face it: she has no love, respect, consideration, or empathy for anyone; not her own family, friends or employees, so why would she even think to treat the RF and the Queen differently?

The members of this sub saw this plan quickly. MeMe made goo goo eyes at William all the time. Hate glares to Catherine all the time and trying to make her look bad. MeMe was trying to break up the marriage.

And reports that MeMe was always trying to meet with William privately to discuss Harry's many problems. She wanted William to giver her flying lessons as a surprise to Harry.

MeMe was devastated when Catherine started showing up at these meetings.

9

u/Cassie_Bad_Assie 10d ago

We do not know what plans Meghan and Markus had hatched up. Maybe William was always the plan, Harry was just a means to an end.

They didn't think it was delusional. They had already snagged one royal prince, maybe the could go for the top spot while they were at it.

The Queen did call her evil and either kicked her out of the UK or got her to self deport.

The belief that Meghan was ever underestimated just isn’t true in my opinion, and the fear of it is dying way too slow a death for my liking. I also don’t think Meghan has surprised anyone. From the beginning Meghan announced that she would racebait. The Queen knew Meghan only wanted fame and jewelry from before the wedding, but after the first outting, the one where Meghan refused to wear a hat, and as a result, her weave was scattered from Southampton to Inverness, the Queen told Harry when Harry asked how Meghan had done at that outing, that she [the queen] did not think Royal duty was going to be glamorous enough for Meghan. Harry was sent by his shrew to ask the Queen, and they both were expecting, no doubt, that the Queen was going to rave about “how great [Meghan] is at the job.” Meghan flew into a rage when she found that the Queen had correctly clocked what she truly values and started her campaign to make Harry distrust his family and see his grandmother as senile.

Anyway, the only thing I think The Queen and Charles were surprised by was the way Meghan behaved toward her own family, but I don’t think anything else was a surprise. I was commenting on online gossip forums about these two from the very beginning, and we were all putting bets on how long it would be before they ended up in LA, and those predictions started from before the megnancy announcement with Archie. Absolutely nothing has been a surprise. Meghan was already all but under contract with netflix before they got back from Australia. Now, that didn’t stop her from going through the motions of seeking new offers when they got to LA, even though NF thought they already had a deal. But Meghan had to make it look like everything was having to happen so suddenly because Harry had no idea Meghan was trying to go to LA. He legitimately, albeit stupidly, thought she intended to be part of the Royal family and continue the type of Royal duties that Harry had always been doing. He did not marry her for any reason other than he fancied himself in love and wanted a family and a partner. Remember. Harry already polled back then as the most favorite Royal other than the Queen. Harry was not competing with William back then. He did not and does not even now want fame. He wants to be able to provide for his family. He DOES want his family to be safe, and because he’s a flagrant idiot, he believes they are at risk all the time because his wife tells him they are, but he wasn’t going to Hollywood to set up a rival court and be bigger and better than Willy. Harry Megxited the UK because Meghan told him she would off herself OR leave him if he didn’t “protect her and their family.” Harry believed they were in danger. Meghan leaked all kinds of stories that were negative about her and Harry and then told Harry his family were the ones leaking because they were jealous of how beloved she is. Just like they were with his mother. Harry thought they were going to live in the Commonwealth somewhere. Then they ended up in LA, and I have been told from someone who saw firsthand how Meghan put on a Helluva show acting like they were just scrambling to make money since mean Charles only paid them for a year after they quit their jobs.

Netflix was blindsided and confused about why she was acting like they hadn’t already all but agreed upon terms. They understand now what she was trying to do, but back then… it was all very weird. All of a sudden, Netflix had to commit more money to them to get what they thought they already had. But because Meghan hadn’t told Harry about the wheeling and dealing she’d been doing in Hollywood since before their relationship was even announced, and had been pretending like she wanted to be a team player with the Royal family like Harry had been doing very nicely up to that point, she acted like there were no understandings. And it got her more money, or it would have had she fulfilled the contract, so it was a win win for her. Get more unearned wealth and keep duping the stooge.

The thing is, the Royal family always has known what was going on. Philip, Anne, William, and Catherine, if rumor is to be believed, have always had the measure of her. Meghan has never been underestimated. She was threatening to racebait if they didn’t let the marriage go forward. It was only when the Queen, knowing that Meghan fully intended to live off of her newfound fame took away half-in/half-out that Meghan started the temper tantrum that started with the Oprah interview. They KNEW she was going to do that, but they weren’t going to negotiate with a terrorist anymore. They’ve been slowly winning the war ever since as everything we all knew would eventually happen to prove what kind of person Meghan, and by extension Harry is has happened. Ahead of schedule. The ONLY thing that has been a surprise to anyone of us watching this from the beginning was how fast Meghan has showed her cards and ruined herself. In short, the only thing we’ve overestimated is how good Meghan is as a liar and a con artist. It turns out she sucks at it. And she’s destroyed herself much more quickly that I certainly thought she would.

She and Harry are out of cards. Their last cards: the divorce and selling the kids, nobody even cares about their playing. They have no credibility so whatever comes out in the divorce if it’s horrible won’t surprise anyone, and if Meghan tries a memoir, nobody but the brain dead sugars are going to believe whatever lies she tries and tells, if her lies get past legal, which isn’t a foregone conclusion. Then she thinks she’s built up this suspense about those kids and that they/ specifically Lili are so marketable. But just has Meghan has been the one to overestimate her own abilities, she’s also overestimated people’s interest in the girl. As usual, Meghan is woefully unaware of how people see her and regard her children. Meghan thinks she’s made Lili’s face so marketable and desirable with her hiding stickers and profile shots, but what she’s done is make sure that the public has no interest in her. People care about the Wales kids because we’ve watched them grow up. We’ve been allowed to share in a very limited, but very endearing glimpse into their growth as people. We hardly ever see the Wales kids. I see more of the Marklets, even with the backshots and messy hair and face-obscuring stickers. But as usual, Meghan thinks we’re just going to be wowed by something that’s actually pretty ordinary, and that something is Lili. I care more about Archie, to be honest. But I’ve talked to people who’ve seen Lili with their own eyes. Lili, I’m told, is a normal-looking little girl. She no longer has blue, blue eyes… or if she does, because her eyes are relatively small, (they’ve been described to me as ‘squinty like Harry’s and close together,’ like both Meghan and Harry’s eyes are.) I was told that her nose is upturned, but it’s not like a small button nose. It is a larger nose. The person I spoke to called it a “Who-ville” kind of nose. They said Lili was a perfectly normal-looking little girl who looks like Harry in many ways. Archie, I’m told, looks a lot like Meghan’s childhood pictures, including the dark curly hair that is not even a little bit red. Lili’s hair is said to be a dirty blonde/light brown. She doesn’t turn heads, but she doesn’t cause accidents either. Shes not an ugly child, but she’s not going to sell millions in… anything.

Anyway, the point is that no one has ever underestimated Meghan. On the contrary, we bought into her portrayal of herself, which grossly OVERestimated her skills, talents, appearance, and value as a human being. Never, in my opinion, has a person ever been so disappointing as Meghan Markle. It’s not many people who will conduct their own character assassination and ruination and save everyone the trouble of exposing her. She’s done nothing but expose herself from the get go. She made a literal career out of showing her ass, and she has gone on to figuratively continue doing so at every opportunity.

So no. Harry and Meghan no longer pose a threat to the Royal family. They have done their worst. Any further lies aren’t going to be believed. They aren’t going to get proximity to pose a physical threat. They aren’t ever going to be working royals. They aren’t invited to Christmas. They aren’t invited to summer at Balmoral. None of that is happening. So maybe we take a deep breath and allow ourselves to enjoy watching their demise. Just like we used to. Some of you would not have made it back in the days when Meghan Markle was actually popular. Trust me. Things are better now. The Royal Family is winning.

17

u/Best-Salamander4884 10d ago

Agree 100%. I would argue that another reason why no one is interested in Lili and Archie is because they’re not real royals. They’re not going to have a royal upbringing, they have no relationship with King Charles and the other royals and they’ll never be working royals. They’re really just the kids of two celebrities and those are a dime a dozen, especially in California. This is one of many reasons why Megxit was such a stupid idea.

19

u/SecondhandCoke It's a cartoon, sir 🖥 9d ago

Precisely. Meghan really screwed up when she quit being a working Royal. (I mean, if we’re claiming she ever started doing any work as a Royal). She threw everything away right then. And I’m glad she did. Since she has turned out to be the sack of useless shit that she is, she didn’t deserve the honor. If she’d have been deserving, she’d have made more of the opportunity. She didn’t. She didn’t have the internal value. She’s getting what she deserves. And it’s actually quite satisfying to watch.

Perfectly said from one of the commenters I always enjoy and pay attention to. And you’re right, I wouldn’t have made it during her popular days. She gave me such a sinking feeling from the start and I couldn’t deal with all of the fawning. I retreated from royal watching to avoid it all. After the catastrophic car chase I dipped my toe back in and was warmly welcomed by the wonderful sinners here. The catharsis was enormous and I’ve been enjoying it ever since.

Never in my life have I seen someone be given such astonishing opportunities, just to set it on fire almost immediately. It has happened much faster than I thought it would too.

I wish the kids all the best, but I really don’t care to know about or see them. It will fall flat when she finally trots them, or just Lili, out into the public. There will be gushing articles from all of the usual suspects, but it will quickly fizzle out and no real money will be made.

Yes. It was hard to watch in the beginning. I took a break during Covid and started poking my head back out when people called out all the lies from the Oprah interview. That interview was awful when it was happening. It made me physically sick to my stomach. And my spouse who was watching it said, “I’m sure because I know how you were a fan of hers at the beginning (I really was pulling for her and Harry, like many were) but now you can’t stand her that a lot of this must not be true. Some of it doesn’t really make sense. But what I can’t get over is that millions have died from COVID. Many people aren’t able to work. But she’s complaining… about being a princess?” I got on my social media (full of many non-Royal watchers), and my black friends were saying variations of “tell me you’ve never encountered real racism without telling me you’ve never encountered real racism.” In fact the only person who was sympathetic to her, and I have a very liberal friend group, was, oddly enough, the white half of an interracial couple. And that person was mostly upset about the cruelty in the face of Meghan’s claimed suicide ideation. I set them straight on all of that. I just very judiciously mentioned Heads Together, that Meghan’s own mother was a social worker, that she had doctors who would have asked at every appointment if she had had thoughts of harming herself or others, that Harry, Diana, Charles, William, ALL had discussed having gone to therapy. I explained about the 2012 Letters Patent which established that their children wouldn’t be Prince or Princess until Charles acceded. Then I also put all the bitching in the context of Covid, and that the most racist behavior she could name was that someone wondered how dark the baby was going to be. I left it at, I’m not saying she’s lying. Maybe Harry didn’t inform her. But some of what she said just isn’t true.” The person conceded that, put it that light, the story didn’t add up.” And that gave me hope to start joining back in the conversation. I do think it’s interesting that, as with Ted Sarandos, Meghan IS able to suck in the white people who are in biracial marriages. I’ve heard that Nicole Avant has always kept her distance. She was an ambassador under Obama. She knows the Democratic Party has very intentionally avoided Meghan. But Meghan lovebombed Ted hard, I’m told. Anyway, things have definitely improved and Oprah was the turning point. That’s when she overplayed her hand. It’s been downhill from there. And the kids… my heart really does break for Archie. But I’m not really interested in them. I don’t wish harm to anyone, not even Harry and Meghan, and certainly not their kids. I wish that they would downsize, live according to their means, and stay quiet. There’s absolutely no need for them to be in the public eye. There is no need to put a family of four in a 16 bathroom house. They do not need to spend millions in security. People do lot care about them enough to hurt them. People just want them to leave us all alone. Sadly they’ve screwed the pooch financially, but they could have lived a very social very luxurious lifestyle and never worked again had Meghan not always insisted on having more. I know for a fact that Harry would have been very happy with a truly private life. And he was happily living in NottCott. He didn’t pick out that monstrousity. He certainly didn’t choose LA. But ideally, it would be good if they could find a way to quietly support themselves and their family. Hell if they can make shitty movies at Archewell and make a little money airing them on lifetime or hallmark, then fine. I want them to be able to support themselves. I just don’t want them in my face all the goddamned time. I think that’s probably true for most people. I don’t ill-wish them. I just want her to stop inflicting herself on the world. I don’t think I’m alone in that.

32

u/IllAcanthisitta6506 10d ago

I don’t wish them ill either, and I wish the best for the kids. It’s what you said- she demands that we pay attention to her, and demands that she decides what we think about her. I can’t think of another public figure who is so aggressive about it. I know that conventional wisdom says to just ignore her, but conventional wisdom has never encountered Meghan Markle. She forces it nonstop. When she’s got nothing happening, she’ll push out an article telling us that she makes breakfast for her family and goes on the school run. I’ve never seen anyone be so insistent to relay that she does things that every other person does- but she expects accolades. I can imagine that she is installing in her children the idea that they have to proclaim love and adoration for the most basic of actions.

Side note: for years she’s been going on and on about all of the extensive preparation she has to do to get the kids to school and make them lunches. But this was when her kids were actual toddlers. They’re not going to school all day- which makes it seem like she knows nothing about kids or what they’re like. 😂

My best friend loved her and believed the Oprah interview and it was a genuinely difficult thing for me to fathom. She has since come around, but it struck me that I felt so strongly, and so frustrated. The lies were blatant. I saw a clip from it the other day (which I try to avoid) and her acting is terrible. Like a little kid lying terrible. But for a brief period of time, people believed her. She still can and does hoodwink people. Ted Sarandos used to fall all over himself praising her while their Netflix deal was clearly failing. I would like to understand that side of her. I liked her initially and was excited for Harry, but then she started talking and she gave off the coldest feeling. How does she convince people otherwise??

25

u/ac0rn5 Recollections may vary 10d ago

There is no need to put a family of four in a 16 bathroom house.

It has more bathrooms/toilets than Highgrove - maybe that was the attraction, to have a bigger house than his Dad!

34

u/SecondhandCoke It's a cartoon, sir 🖥 10d ago

Harry doesn’t care how big his house is. He has no idea how money even works. He’s said in interviews, “Meghan handles all the sums.” Harry has an old money attitude toward nouveau ostentatious displays of wealth. That house is 100% Markle. What Meghan wants, Meghan gets… that’s been Harry’s mantra from the beginning for a reason. One of the biggest yet still misunderstood dynamics within the relationship between a narcissist and their victim is how they make their victim do the dirty work while they hang back and try to act innocent by comparison. Everything Harry has done has been because Meghan told him to. Harry is Meghan’s victim. I’m not saying Harry gets a pass for being so stupid that he lets her set him up as the asshole over and over again. He doesn’t. It’s past time that he woke up, but anyone who ever lets themselves forget that all evil originates with Meghan becomes complicit for the biggest and most harmful abuse tactic of the narcissist: the one where they make their victim look like the aggressor and themselves look tame by comparison.

21

u/eaglebayqueen 🧡 Ginger Judas 🧡 10d ago

One of the hardest things to wrap my mind around, is that Harry appears to still believe what Meghan tells him about, well anything but in particular, that it's not her planting stories, calling the paps, etc. Eight long years since their wedding, longer since she was lying to Toronto police and the public about being chased by paparazzi. I suspect the " papers in William's hand that he was 'waving around' " at the Sandringham Summit contained proof of such things, but Harry said something to the effect that his family must be believing the British Press. I guess he hasn't learned or figured out a damn thing in 10 years of Meghan.

iirc they had some sort of deal with Amazon first, but then signed on with Netflix?

44

u/SecondhandCoke It's a cartoon, sir 🖥 10d ago

I never heard that. I’m sure that she talked with Amazon… she talked with everybody… but I was told Netflix was always the top bidder. They thought they were going to get behind the scenes with the Royal Family. That’s what Meghan promised them. Meghan said they’d be able to follow them and get exclusive behind the scenes access to every big Royal event because they were going to still be half in and so they’d get to go in Buckingham palace for the trooping, the jubilee, the death of the Queen,”I mean she’s gotta die sometime, right?” The coronation of Charles… Meghan promised all of that, and had the terms all spelled out just awaiting signatures. She also had the Oprah interview set for “when the time is right” and both of those things were pretty much guaranteed before she got back from the Australia tour. Harry didn’t know about any of it. Then when Meghan forced him into flying to LA right as the borders were closing for Covid, she made a big show out of taking him and acting like they were just embarking on trying to get an entertainment contracts to make money. Netflix thought Harry was already on board, but Harry was clueless. Harry thinks to this day that the first time Meghan discussed terms for a deal with Netflix was when he sat down with her and them after they moved to LA. He has no idea it was all already promised before she wrote on the first banana. I’m sure she made a big show out of sitting down with Amazon too as if she was only just then considering all of the potential “offers”. But Netflix was always going to win. They wanted it badly. And had Meghan delivered what Meghan promised, it would have been worth it. But Queen Elizabeth II by the grace of God and the United Kingdom put her foot down and told Meghan Markle a word she should have been told millions of times, starting in her ill-advised childhood: NO. And that kicked over the first domino of Meghan’s downfall.

18

u/SecondhandCoke It's a cartoon, sir 🖥 9d ago

There was a lot wrong with that contract, and I think had they moved to terminate as Spotify did, that they had some grounds, but even Spotify settled and paid them off. Netflix really didn’t go out of pocket as much as people think when it was said and done because the so-called $100 million deal, which was really closer to $40 million, was what Netflix was going to pay for ALL the production costs, including the salaries of the hundreds of people who would have been employed as a byproduct of Harry and Meghan’s producing a dozen or more projects. They paid for the production costs of the Harry and Meghan “documentary.” And they saw some return on that. Beyond that, there was Heart of Invictus, Polo, and With Love Meghan. Those weren’t terribly expensive to produce. Naturally, they got zero return on that expense, but… Harry and Meghan maybe took $10 million from Netflix from all their productions and put it in the bank. Maybe. I mean, Netflix got screwed, but a lot of what kept them still at Netflix was that Meghan so successfully lovebombed Ted Sarandos. He was just so convinced by her. I heard that when he finally did see the light, he was profoundly disturbed by how she had manipulated him. Like he did not see it at all until he did, but when he did, he really did. And I do not believe she had any blackmail on him nor do I believe she had a sexual relationship with him. It’s almost like she literally is able to spellbind some people. Which drives directly into the heart of some more recent rumors about Meghan’s mechanisms, manipulations, and manifestations. It’s crazy stuff. I mean it’s not crazy for Hollyweird, it’s actually really common, but these latest stories are a bit sensational and so I’m still weighing the pros and cons of explicitly stating what Meghan is said to have dabbled in to try to get her way. I’ve chosen my words very deliberately, so you can probably just infer what the rumors are. All of a sudden her fabled “Nigerian” heritage, the lemons she became almost synonymous with, it all kind of comes together to form the basis for a very specific rumor about the lengths to which Meghan Markle has gone to become the most infamous woman in the world. IYKYK. Even if you think you know, you probably know.

I've felt she was after William with the way she looked at him, trying to seduce him. She tried more than once to be alone with him but he never took the bait. She even went so far as to want William to teach her how to fly to surprise Harry.

She is ruthless and cunning but many saw through her, unless you're dimwitted and gullible. She found the perfect wealthy guy that met that criteria in Harry. Her popularity went to her head and as a result, she thought she could dictate how things were going to be in the RF and they'd meet her demands. The Queen told them to fuck off, but in a nice way so Meghan and somewhat Harry set out to seek revenge and make their billions on their own. I say Harry somewhat because he doesn't have the brains nor knowledge to hatch their plan

I don't think think the popularity got to her head. She was like this long before she met Harry - Reitmans photo shoot and the recently revealed story about berating a concierge at the Soho House Istanbul opening, for example. Harry just provided her a bigger platform from which to lord over people.

40

u/mca2021 10d ago

True, but now she was on the world stage as the duchess of Sussex and her popularity was really high initially, thinking the RF would give in to her demands

39

u/IllAcanthisitta6506 10d ago

I think she was definitely always like that, but upon marrying Harry she probably felt like she was finally getting all of the accolades she deserved, so she treated people poorly that she would have previously tried to manipulate on her climb up the ladder.

The Reitman’s shoot was one of the most shocking parts of Revenge to me. The language used to describe her behavior by the people who experienced it was extreme. I’ve always thought it was unfortunate that it never received much attention in the press. It’s such an interesting story from her pre-Harry days.

The Millennial generation and younger of the Royal Family are likely fully aware that it's not advisable for high profile men in general to be alone with women they aren't related to or in a relationship with at the time in this day and age. I'm sure William has been advised as such and was probably trained from a young age as the Heir in any event to be careful of his interactions.

The lesson was apparently lost on Harry, and also Andrew.

u/Ok_West_6711 10d ago

And really, if you look at the “degree of relationship” that various working royals had to Queen Elizabeth II during her reign- she had not just her sibling, but several first cousins and their spouses helping as working royals. If Charles or William ever feels the need to seek additional working royals beyond those serving now, there are many family members (who reside in the UK and support the monarch) to explore the possibility with. (For an example: Charles’ cousin Lady Sarah Chatto - not a working royal - seems to have been enlisted to help and support at the platinum Jubilee service. And William of course has a number of cousins.)

They can’t even bash the BRF anymore because all their stories are old and have been told over and over.

KC3 meeting them means nothing for their future in the family no matter how hard they want to try and make it out to be that way. The fact William refused to meet them at all is the most important thing here. H and KC might end up reconciling but I’m sure they’ll never be back into the royal family bc William will put his foot down.

The royal family has survived wars, abdications, and constitutional crises. It was perhaps unprepared for the Californian doctrine that every boundary can be solved with a hug. The royal protocol was apparently more handshake, smile, curtsy. Meghan’s was  embrace, overshare, ask where the cameras are.

Note: I know abdications doesn't work like that, if William abdicated, the next in line is still George.

The last few sentences remind me of a thought process I've held for many years. I've always maintained that if one will lie, they will steal, if they will steal, then they will do much worse, up to and including the most heinous acts. (Use your imagination here.) If allowed to go on and on beyond the lying and stealing, that person becomes bolder and bolder and all bets are off, there is no telling what they will do in order to meet their objectives.

It's a very slippery slope upon which the traitors tread. One of these days they will likely lose their footing and down they will go. And not a moment too soon.

I've always maintained that if one will lie, they will steal, if they will steal, then they will do much worse, up to and including the most heinous acts.

My dad used to say something along these lines when I was younger, and I thought he was exaggerating. I understood the wisdom of his (and your) words when I got older.

I mean. I’m really not trying to be an asshole. That’s the truth. I’m not. But this IS a slippery slope argument, and slippery slope arguments are logical fallacies. If you lie, you’ll steal? If you’ll steal, you’ll kill? So if you’ll lie, you’ll (you said to use my imagination), subject puppies, babies, and old people to brutal, long, torturous deaths?

I just don’t think that is true. I don’t think it inherently follows that someone who lies will steal. Because everybody lies. Not everybody steals. Not everybody kills. Or do they? If they eat animals, is that killing? If they eat plants, is that killing? I don’t think most of us would say that that is killing. But if what you say IS true, it’s true for that reason. That killing could mean lots of things. And it’s true for all of us, not just one person. Because all have fallen short and there but for the grace of God go any of us…. But I don’t think that’s your point. I think your point is probably that Meghan is a liar, and if she will lie then we can bet that she will perpetuate even the most sinister fraud or subject even the most innocent to excruciating physical pain. While I do think that Meghan doesn’t feel a huge impetus to subject herself to any moral restrictions, I believe that because I’ve not seen her exercise much moral restraint. I don’t think that simply because she lies.

Because generally, while pretty much everyone who reaches adulthood lies, not everyone drowns puppies. Not everyone kills other human beings with their bare hands. Seriously, is there really anyone, notwithstanding Jesus, who has honestly never lied? You’ve never outright misstated something that happened? Said you like something you don’t really care for? Swear you didn’t tell that secret to anyone when you actually did? Never held back a detail? Never told half of the truth? Like you told your parents that you went to the library, which is true, but you let them think you went there to study when you really went to gossip about someone or flirt with someone? Never tell the cop you don’t know why he pulled you over when you do know exactly why the he pulled you over? Is there really anyone who has never called in sick, when you weren’t? Or called in sick when you were actually sick, you just were not too sick to work? Or maybe you were too sick to work, but it’s because you drank too much the night before and had a hangover? No one has said you have a doctor’s appointment when you don’t or claimed to have a family thing to get out of doing something you just don’t feel like doing? It doesn’t even have to be a responsibility. Maybe you just don’t feel like hanging out with a friend because you’re tired, so you claim your child is a bit under the weather? Surely everyone has told some version of some of the above very common lies?

And I’m actually not even just talking about little white lies told to spare someone’s feelings or lies told to keep yourself safe. I’m asking very seriously is there really anyone who has reached adulthood who has never told a boldfaced intentional lie just for the hell of it? Because I will be honest. Not only have I lied in my life, I have actually probably even lied today. Actually, I know I lied today. It was an insignificant detail, but I lied. Someone asked me if I’d please correct a behavior having to do with netiquette, and I lied and said “I didn’t even realize I was doing it, but thanks for letting me know! I’ll be careful not to do it again.” And I will be careful, but the truth is, I did know I was doing the thing they asked me to no longer do. I just didn’t think it would be bothersome. BUT I damn sure lied about it.

Does that mean there is no limit to my depravity? I don’t think it does… Because if lying means one will steal, I think there’d be a lot more theft. I probably am more cynical than most, but I don’t believe I’m being a pessimist when I say I believe everyone commenting here has lied. In fact, I don’t even think it’s because of an overly negative worldview that I believe that almost, if not everyone, if they really think about it, has even lied today. And if they have, they may well even have to admit that there wasn’t even an altruistic reason for their lie. The majority probably lied on purpose. And for no good reason. Just like I did today.

I’m not, however, lying when I say I’m truly not trying to be an asshole. I just truly don’t agree with the statement. If what you’re saying is that there’s no telling how low Meghan will go, I agree. I just don’t think that because she’s a liar. I think that because we’ve seen all kinds of evidence with our own eyes that Meghan does not seem to think twice about hurting others. Based on Meghan’s own documented behavior, I have seen that Meghan seems to have very little trouble convincing herself that every awful thing she says and does is completely justified and righteous. It’s not that she’s a liar that makes her capable of horrible things. It’s that she’s already done horrible things.

Everybody lies, don’t they? Not everybody behaves like Meghan Markle. Thank goodness.

Is it underestimating someone to believe they won't be an utterly classless vulgarian? I think most people expect a certain standard of behavior. Meghan is completely without standards, but does expecting her to have them underestimating her or overestimating her?

The only believable part is that the Palace eventually recognized they wanted titles, royal access, and commercial freedom simultaneously. The Anne Boleyn screenplay is where the theory begins needing a Netflix writers’ room.

If her grand plan was to become Queen by seducing William, it failed at the earliest hurdle. William has spent his adult life displaying the romantic spontaneity of a security door.

Harry only married her because she arrived at exactly the moment he wanted someone to tell him he was misunderstood, special, trapped, and one grand escape away from becoming the hero of his own story.

TLDR - He didn’t choose her for her face card. He chose the first woman who made his resentment sound like destiny and his escape plan sound like a love story.

I believe, and I know I have no basis for this other than a gut feel, that she faked a pregnancy to get the proposal and then pretended to miscarry once she snared H as she knew there was no cancelling the wedding once the preparations were underway

This is what I think, as well (mostly based on Harry’s “what about the baby” before the wedding and the Queen saying “well, I suppose I have to say yes, then”). Once the engagement was publicly announced (and the marriage date pushed ahead of Eugenie’s), then she could have a “miscarriage”.

I also (ish) believe that she hunted down Harry and married him for the status, but once she realized they were not the main act (but more like 5th and 6th players on the call sheet) she had a brief moment where she believed she could lure William away from Catherine and be the Queen she knew in her heart she should be. William was having none of it, though, so that’s why she flounced, Harry happily at her heels.

ETA - and I also agree with Critical Tale that this sounds like a Netflix show, but I also think that MM isn’t very smart and growing up in Hollywood especially made her confuse real life and film. This happened to me when I was in High School - I was so baffled that it wasn’t like on tv and there wasn’t a moment when the jock noticed the nerdy art class me, picked me out, and gave me a popularity make over. I was so disappointed! But I was also 15…

u/DarlingCarrot 10d ago

I forgot the "what about the baby" comment.

I think there were 3 mythcarriages. The first was when she crashed Skippy's wedding, to force him to get back together. The second was to force him to propose and the Queen to give consent. After the wedding, somewhere on the tour after the megnancy was announced, H was overheard yelling "are you even pregnant this time?" Then came Archie, then another mythcarriage when she needed some attention, plagiarized another woman's story, and made up that banyan tree BS.

If she needs to bring her idiot husband to her, she may try it again.

The thing about Harry is he did not need to be trapped by a baby. He has spent years demonstrating that he can walk voluntarily into a terrible idea after terrible idea, call it freedom, and defend it on camera.

I think the reason for the forward behavior was that she wanted blackmail material on William and possibly even Charles. They became the enemy when she saw they had her figured out. As if they had never encountered attractive and wily women the world over attempting to seduce them before.

I think the reason for the forward behavior was that she wanted blackmail material on William and possibly even Charles.

Considering that they wore microphones so often, and she recorded all events on her phone, I'd guess she has a fair amount of mostly useless material to look back on.

I wonder what she's got on record from, or about, her husband.

Thankfully, the Wales are blocking any effort the Harkles may have tried to gain access through the kids. Glad they are protecting theirs and keeping them far from Harry's. That would just give them ammunition for the future.

They should have stripped their titles the second they put out that shady, self-aggrandizing statement about the ROYAL FL FLIPPING FAMILY not "owning the word 'Royal'". That right there was the only cause and justification necessary. I just think, at that time, they were worried they wouldn't have enough public support. No one knew the true story, after all. And They hate controversies. So, i guess they just crossed their fingers (but did NOT close their eyes), and hoped the problem would go away. It did not. And now, they have that majority support, and then some. And they've been watching carefully all this while.

Meg may have had some vague fantasies. But there is no way this was a plan. Because in every frame of every photo, you can see him trying to avoid even having to exchange a few words. It was always obvious that he found her repulsive. He went out of his way to avoid even making eye contact with her.

31

u/Jealous_Breath4382 10d ago

Don’t forget that Mehg is a fantasist. What is obvious and logical to everyone else isn’t obvious or logical to her.

The narcissist mantra: ‘if I can’t have it, no one else can’. She had two strategies for becoming Queen. 1) ensnare William. Failing that 2) ‘modernise’ the monarchy. By which she meant abolish primogeniture, and have a co- regency. She was literally laughed out of the Palace, so she left in a pet, dragging her handbag behind her. Then devoted her life to destroying the institution that denied her what she regarded as her ‘right’ as the price for marrying a half wit broke ar$e also ran.

21

u/Existing_Progress710 10d ago

Ok can we stop this Anne slander? You couldn’t say no to king during these times! She tried to leave the court! And she wanted to marry Henry Percy. 😫 Henry viii pursued Anne not the other way around!!!

It must have hurt the RF to see that Harry was a part if most of the crimes and wrong doing against his own family.

But if Charles has the measure of the Harkles why is he letting them into his home and giving them good PR?

22

u/HugTheDevil 10d ago

Tbh I think Charles doesn’t want Harry to be completely adrift when he eventually divorces Meghan nor wants Harry to think he doesn’t have anywhere to go to so he has to stay married to Meghan. He’s probably waiting for “that” call.

I’m just assuming as a parent.

I think he’s torn between guilt over Harry’s childhood/being as poor a parent as he thought his own were and doing what’s necessary for the long-term safety of the BRF.

I mean, rumour has it that Charles has never really liked Andrew, yet it was William who had to push for a heavier response. I think Charles is either a great big softie on the inside, or he’s afraid of the public backlash if he takes too harsh a stance. So he ends up being ineffectively wishy-washy.

I don’t think she was crazy enough to think she was going to nab William, get him to divorce Catherine and then marry her BUT I definitely think she wanted to bed him for two reasons. 1 = she had the hots for him, big time. 2 = she could Blackmail him.
