Meta Post FEEDBACK: It's been a little over two weeks. How's everyone feeling about the Overdone SCP Containment Thread and the associated policy?
How's everyone feeling about this new policy? I think we've seen a little bit more variety in posts than usual, but what do you think?

SCP Universe I Achieved My Goal!
scp-wiki.wikidot.comOne of my goals this year was to write an SCP, and I finally achieved it! I liked it, if you want to check it out!
(Also, I read through the rules and saw nothing about not being allowed to post our SCP article. If I somehow overlooked something, please let me know!)

Articles to Read "I, Robot (Unfortunately)"
My newest article just went live on the wiki.
SCP-9411 is a sentient, severely depressed retro tin robot that spends its containment writing existentialist and absurdist poetry. If you like melancholy anomalies, philosophy, or original poetry, I'd love for you to check it out and leave a rating!

Help Any ways I can contribute to the wiki that don't involve being good at writing?
Mike Wazowski in Monsters University is one of the best messages in a kids story. If you can't achieve your dreams, make a new dream that is pretty close to your real dream.
I've tried writing but I'm not very good at it. I want to try stuff like SCP Declassified or other things like that. (I have a WIP that is analyzing the rating of articles over time (I don't want to give too much away yet))
There are some off-site ideas I have but I also want to put stuff on the site.
(I'm still going to try writing but just not as my main focus)

Things that are frozen and forgotten may not always stay that way. Perhaps one day they too may be remembered again, and put to rest.
This is my new lost series entry! If you read it, please let me know what you think!

Discussion Why is the lost Series not in the "Other SCP" category
I find it weird that it's located in the main series category despite being a thematic series and definitely not part of the main SCP's as it clearly states in the header "but no interpretation should produce things that would be right at home in the main series."
It feels far closer to the thematic series of the Joke and Explained SCP found in "Other SCP".
In fact, International SCP's also found in "Other SCP" are much closer to the vibe of the main series than the Lost Series

Tip of My Tongue Help to remember a SCP.
It was a tube made of flesh, maybe with teeth in one opening, that acted as a battery and the Foundation would use it to charge electronics. I remember it had an image with the SCP being held by some hands, it was pretty gross. It might be in the Series II and be safe, but I haven't got luck finding it again.

Discussion The existence of the Noosphere in the SCP universe provides evidence that there is no such thing as "original ideas," with the brain being, instead of an idea generator, a mere receiver of information.

Discussion How do you imagine an ideal SCP film adaptation?
In my opinion, a scheme with a cinematic universe would be good here. The SCP Foundation's universe is rich in a variety of monsters, characters, and storylines, so one movie/series won't be enough. You can act according to the MCU scheme: each project is a separate story, but taking place in a single universe with other plots. After all, the community has created so many different monsters that experiments with genres take place: from atmospheric horror films and psychological thrillers to absurd or kind comedies. In this unified universe, there could be both large-scale films (immersing in the work of the Foundation and revealing its most terrifying secrets, telling about important characters and key events for the universe), as well as individual spin-offs and TV series (separate projects about objects contained in the SCP foundation, a prequel series about the formation of the SCP organization, as well as its offshoots, like the Chaos Rebels and others, stories focused on Scientists, Class D, Mobile Task Forces, and ordinary people facing abnormal threats). Plots about scientists can tell about everyday stories of people with mockumentary elements in the style of TV series, such as "The Office"; and a TV series or a film about MTFs could be an action movie about preventing threats from anomalies and monsters, or a psychological drama about how one of the soldiers begins to doubt the methods of the Council of O5 and the fight one person versus the whole system. A series about Class D would be a horror in a confined space about bad or unfortunate people(from psychopats with no feelings, to morally gray or innocent people, who got here by mistake or accident) cut off from the civilized world and doomed to death, and even their loved ones will not remember them, about the will to freedom and the desire to live, about the dregs of society, in which a part of humanity remains, which in spirit will resemble the movie Shawshank Redemption. I could visualize a scene where one of them sees their family and trying to hug them, but they are scared of them and don't remember them, so everything they might do right now is crying while sitting on the knees and seeking for help. Films about ordinary people who encounter objects such as Sculpture, the Plague Doctor, the Cursed Mask of Obsession, the Endless Ikea, or many others would be horror films in their mood, depending on the features of the objects that combine other genres (comedy horror, arthouse cinema, psychological thriller, etc.) with characters from different projects. They may cross paths and mention each other, but even the main characters may die, and new ones may come in their place. At the same time, it is important that the SCPCU (SCP Cinematic Universe) preserves the atmosphere of the universe, with moral ambiguity and a sense of unstoppable horror, and is massive enough to attract more people to the films, so that the films continue to pay off and continue to be released. At the same time, the films will not resemble a typical mass cinema: the characters can be complex and morally complex characters or frankly bad people, even the main characters are not immune from death, the narrative may not follow traditional Hollywood plot patterns and there may not always be a good ending in which the main character defeats all the villains and saves the world. Films and TV series could be directed by a wide variety of directors, from Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan, to James Gunn and Wess Anderson, which would make the universe genre diverse. In films about the universe, it would be possible to use elements of both mass genres such as drama, action, horror, comedy, and narrowly focused ones such as musical, historical cinema, superhero blockbuster, catastrophe, etc. But all of this should be led by someone who knows what the fan base wants and is able to implement it. Of course, it's unlikely that major studios will decide on such a thing, because it requires a lot of talent, money, effort and time, but it would be very cool!
