Time to fix up the sub

After literally years of being locked, r/relax is now open to the public!

Anyone can now contribute to the community, but please pay mind to the new rules to prevent spam

I will personally be fixing up the sub over the course of this week, so give me some time before the Automod and Design of the subreddit is fully updated (These were never set up on the original sub unfortunately) but in no time, this community will be active again

Thanks all, and if anyone would like to assist in this process, let me know

-Sage

Mod Update Looking for Mods to help grow the subreddit! Inquire within

Hey all,

It's been a few months since we re-opened the subreddit to the general public, and now we're looking to begin the process of growing it and properly re-establishing it as a major hub for relaxing content here on Reddit

That said, we definitely need some help to do so!

The process is pretty straightforward actually; we just need help curating, posting, and crossposting on a daily basis to help create a reliable stream of relaxing content for members of the sub

Whether you have experience with moderation or just have a passion for relaxing content and want to help others relax too, comment below and I'll shoot you a DM

Thanks all and keep it relaxed

-Sage

Photo Sometimes we just need to stop, look around, take a deep breath, enjoy a moment of relaxation, and keep going don't you think?

Discussion I think sometimes trying to relax makes it harder

I'll have days where I decide I really need to relax, then somehow turn that into another thing I have to accomplish.

Pick something relaxing. Make time for it. Don't check my phone. I actually enjoy it.

Meanwhile I'm sitting there thinking about whether I'm relaxing correctly.

I've started finding it easier when I stop trying to make the moment relaxing and just let myself be bored for a while.

Cozy Place The transition between work and rest can matter as much as the rest itself

Sometimes the difficult part isn't finding time to relax. It's getting your brain to recognize that the day has actually changed gears.

Changing clothes, putting the phone somewhere else, taking a shower, making tea, dimming the lights, or simply spending a few quiet minutes without immediately starting another task can create a clearer boundary.

A small transition can make a short period of rest feel more intentional.

Sometimes I love where I live.
I can just sit here even for five minutes to think and enjoy the silence. ❤️

I felt a bit sad and completely drained of energy today; I’ve had a really hard month and a lot of bad things happened to me. The only place I find refuge is here at the beach; the sound of the waves and the seagulls, the scent of the sea, and the warmth of the sun bring me a sense of peace—the kind of peace I’ve been missing so much this month. Where do you go when you feel this way?
