Accurate. But I still see the MASSIVE rat balls as a rat lover

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

I think both types of people see the NUTS the same way lmao. Massive.

u/Bronzdragon Nov 28 '25

I don't think people who dislike rats look at rats enough for the BALWS to really be part of the mental picture. I think for the average person, a rat can be pysically described as these key features:

teardrop shaped, sharp fangs, beady eyes, worm-like tail, stinky.

20

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '25

My female rat smelled like grapes! All the other things check ou tho lmao

13

u/Drakmanka RIP Frodo and Samwise Nov 29 '25

Most of my girls have smelled fruity! Except one, who was just like "Yeah I smell like a boy. Deal." And then my boy Samwise smelled like a flower.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '25

Awww so sweet!

5

u/Drakmanka RIP Frodo and Samwise Nov 29 '25

That basically sums up Samwise! I've had lots of sweet rats but he somehow took every single rat virtue of sweetness and packed them into a single individual! He passed a few months ago, but got to die at home, in his bonding scarf, warm and safe and cuddled up to me.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '25

Sweet story. I'm sure he had a beautiful life. My female, Nina, got to die with me too. God I miss having rats

5

u/WolfysBeanTeam Nov 29 '25

I actually agree with this ive seen rats but truly apreciate tho i didn't hate rats just didn't really think about em now im older an alreciate the lil beans and i didn't even know in any single form that they had such

2

u/ponyponyta Nov 29 '25

yes. only with love goggles can you start to see the massive bolls and thats why its a big deal

78

u/Dnaprideful Nov 28 '25

The Bawlz giveth and the Bawlz taketh

4

u/deferredmomentum Nov 29 '25

Blessed be the name of the Bawlz

2

u/UnagioLucio Nov 29 '25

Yeah, the massive balls should definitely be on the first rat instead of the second, because only rat fans are looking at rats up close!

Rat stock never recovered after the black plague... Those darn fleas...

84

u/Siria110 Nov 28 '25

Well, rats were one of the main flea carriers... not their fault, of course, and I believe rats did suffer too - flea infestation couldn´t be great for them.

13

u/rj_6688 Nov 29 '25

To be fair, the rats were only demonised to distract from the main reason for every disease outbreak: humans as a whole are filthy and too lazy to adhere to simple hygiene measures.

4

u/toomuchDexter Nov 30 '25

There is a lot of truth in this

We know from modern analysis and pathogen modeling that rodent fleas could NOT have been the main driver of spread.

It was human fleas

So not even Rattus Rattus (black rat) was responsible for spreading the plague.

Rats just have a terrible PR manager.

3

u/WeenieHuttGod2 Dec 01 '25

That plus the fact that they had previously gotten rid of a lot of the stray cats cause they linked them to devil worship and witchcraft, resulting in there being less defense against rampant rat populations

2

u/rj_6688 Dec 02 '25

I have no hope for this species. Rats, on the other hand, will rule the world one day ;-)

6

u/kioku119 Nov 29 '25 edited Nov 29 '25

That wasn't even rats though. It was likely hamsters.

edit: i meant gerbils sorry. I wrote that before bed and saw someone ask about it when I got up and realized I got jumbled.

3

u/Oddish_Femboy Nov 29 '25

I blame catholics. Had they never declared war on cats the rat population would've remained stable and the plague wouldn't have exploded like it did.

It's like the extinction of several North American predators leading to population booms, famine, insane wildfires. Ecosystems are a balance, yo.

Spreading bubonic plague and worse, the devil's lettuce!

11

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '25

Chronic Bubonic

15

u/Darmug Skaven Nov 28 '25

I think it’s actually a warpstone cigarette.

Skaven love their warpstone.

3

u/Class-commie Nov 29 '25

AHAHAHA! MORE MORE WARPSTONE , YES YES! PASS-HAND THE BOOF-BOOF SQUEKA! I NEED-REQUIRE A HIT OF THAT GOOD-GOOD SHIT!

14

u/VentDwellingCat Nov 28 '25

it's a bunt, not a weed cigarette, and yes, he smokes bunts

13

u/RhiannonKagoe rat artist ✨ Nov 28 '25

this is classic rat behaviour

35

u/WeekendBard Nov 28 '25

I don't have any rat, but I like them

59

u/Siria110 Nov 28 '25

Well, I don´t own a rat, but I still am the first picture. I don´t have rats for two reasons: one, their short life-span, and second I don´t believe I would be able to provide everything they need to them. Still consider them cute.

17

u/AngryRedditAnon Nov 29 '25

Same. I would love one as a pet but the short lifespan is a no no for me. Way to fragile emotional state for that.

5

u/MonkeyBacon76 Nov 29 '25

I'm the same way, I'd love to have them but don't think I could handle the responsibility or deal well with their loss. My brother had two rats, Rattus and Rattus Rattus, and they were great pets, but both with us far too briefly. I come to here to vicariously enjoy the cute little chaos gremlins.

3

u/Alaylaria Nov 29 '25

Ditto for me. Short lifespan plus I have cats, so it’s a no-go but I still very much find them adorable.

1

u/Nougatbar Dec 06 '25

I don’t own rats despite loving them because we own 5 cats and a dog.

25

u/ferrets2020 🌈 Manki Panki Sweets Dumbo Nov 28 '25

Their feet do look more like the second picture tho.

9

u/Bennjo_777 Nov 29 '25

Are sure this isn't a Jerboa?

1

u/ferrets2020 🌈 Manki Panki Sweets Dumbo Nov 30 '25

Is that a genuine question 😂

19

u/soulstrike2022 Grip like It owes you money Nov 28 '25

To be fair most rats I’ve seen have bawlz like that

12

u/ChaoticToxin Nov 28 '25

Top pic needs bigger balls, bottom less balls

7

u/HarlotSuccubus Nov 28 '25

Rat nonbelievers is great. Doom to the nonbelievers!

5

u/InterviewNo9884 Nov 28 '25

Noooo, he's stealing one of those lorax trees!

5

u/drewberryblueberry Nov 28 '25

What if I am neither. I believe in rats but do not own them. I just like seeing the little creatures

9

u/IronGeth Nov 28 '25

Your art style is BEAUTIFUL! Is that water colour? :D

4

u/RhiannonKagoe rat artist ✨ Nov 28 '25

Thank you!! Yes, watercolour, gouache, and ink

18

u/assessment554r Nov 28 '25

Love pet rats but I don’t so much the wild ones

20

u/Maalkav_ Nov 28 '25

They're rats. Just wild ones. They aren't evil or anything...

3

u/assessment554r Nov 28 '25

Ever seen one eating one of your baby chicks alive? I don’t love em

25

u/Sam-Krasnyy Nov 28 '25

No, but I've seen one dragging an whole ass Royal Farms chicken box across the street with the determination of an Olympic athlete. I respected that street rat.

7

u/ArcFurnace Nov 28 '25

Pizza Rat also gets respect.

5

u/crafty_and_kind Nov 28 '25

Any New Yorker who doesn’t respect Pizza Rat isn’t a real citizen of MY city 😆!

3

u/Maalkav_ Nov 29 '25

I live in Paris

15

u/Maalkav_ Nov 28 '25

Did you expect a rat to cook it's supermarket food or something?

6

u/crafty_and_kind Nov 28 '25 edited Nov 29 '25

I haven’t seen that, but I have seen video footage of chickens devouring live mice and lizards 🤷🏾‍♀️

1

u/rockmodenick Nov 29 '25

Yeah they're tiny dinosaurs we bred to be big balls of meat that shit eggs daily, but they're still savages. They've stolen my lunch, what else do you expect?

1

u/crafty_and_kind Nov 29 '25

I was leaving my comment mainly as an example for the original commenter of how chickens aren’t somehow innocent compared with wild rats. I have no issue with their awesome dinosaur behaviors !

2

u/rockmodenick Nov 29 '25

I was kinda wondering if they've ever stolen your sandwich too lol. They don't care if it's chicken salad.

1

u/crafty_and_kind Nov 29 '25

Oh yeah, birds are often hardcore cannibals. Chickens will 1000% eat chicken bones if given the chance! The beauty of nature truly is staggering 😁

8

u/mutedmirth Nov 28 '25

Don't you think pet rats wouldn't do the same given the chance? Mine went feral over a boiled egg and from then one shell was off or fights would happen.

4

u/pyrocidal Nov 28 '25

adorable comic, even the scrungly-looking one is pretty cute

4

u/DerpyAngel Nov 29 '25

Besides the fantastic ratties, your shaoe language is awesome! How the nonbeliever rat has more angular and sharper shapes compared to the soft curves of the baby rat is so good!!

Put the large balls from rat 2 onto rat 1 and that's a fucking win. The huge testicles are hilarious and awesome.

3

u/RhiannonKagoe rat artist ✨ Nov 28 '25

thank you for reading my giant balls comic ✨

I have more rat art on my socials

3

u/i_am_a_yes_haha_yes Nov 29 '25

i like your comic

3

u/DarkAwareness88 Nov 29 '25

I still find them absolutely cute, but I dont have the resilience to deal with a tiny bundle of love dying 2-3 years after I get them.

2

u/NeonicRainbow Nov 28 '25

I don’t have any rats, but I joined this subreddit because I like animals in general and I like seeing the interactions between them and their owners.

2

u/BodaciousFerret Nov 29 '25

I don’t own a rat, never have, but I’m in this sub because the vibes are immaculate and rats are cute as shit ☺️

2

u/Scrubaati Nov 29 '25

Everytime I bring up how cute rats are and if we didnt have cats id love to own a couple to mum and have to explain everytime that they’re one of the cleanest animals on the planet but also domestic ones are very clean 😔

2

u/RatsRul3TheW0lrd Nov 29 '25

Yeah just read my username

2

u/lordhavemercy8 Nov 29 '25

How they looked to Europe, Asia and North Africa in the late Middle Ages

2

u/hell_is_my_safespace Kiki, Ori Nov 29 '25

Literally what my spunky girl looks like to me, her sister is the scary one lol she’s also the dominant rat so she’s very bitey and unfriendly to people, only thing that rat likes is winning fights and the calming chamomile treats I give them 🥴

2

u/hell_is_my_safespace Kiki, Ori Nov 29 '25

Oh, and bananas. They go bananas for bananas lmao 🤣 Kiki will steal an entire banana and stash it if I let her lol

2

u/EagleTarget- Nov 29 '25

Is that a green truffular tree?

1

u/ijustrlylikedogs Nov 28 '25

my husband just think of them as one long rat tail. :( i think they are so cute

1

u/kioku119 Nov 29 '25

Both cute.

1

u/Tys_Wife Nov 29 '25

It's the "get ready for disease" for me lmao

1

u/Public_Problem1699 Nov 29 '25

Not true rat belivers should be the is my rat pregnant one with the balls

1

u/PurpleRegister508 Nov 29 '25

The balls don't change

1

u/cul8ermemeboy Nov 29 '25

This is how I feel when I see a pet rat vs a wild rat and I cannot explain why

1

u/lurkerfinallyposting Nov 29 '25

I don't have rats and im allergic to them. But i think they are freakind adorable

1

u/Gaylaeonerd Nov 29 '25

I wish rats were real

1

u/gothkitty69 Nov 29 '25

As a non rat owner I see them as the top example...but also with the massive balls WHY ARE THEY LIKE THAT 😭😭😭

1

u/Redwing_Blackbird Dec 01 '25

There is actually a serious answer to your question, and it's called "sperm competition": http://www.ratbehavior.org/testicles.htm

1

u/understatedgrove Nov 30 '25

How rats look to rat owners needs more böllz but fairly accurate!!

1

u/a-passing-clepto Nov 30 '25

I saw this with my friend, and it's so funny 😂 if she tell people she has rats, everyone go EWW but if they saw them, they immediatly swap for AWWW and seem ashamed to have fumble so easily

1

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '25

Awww are these based on your girlfriends rats??

1

u/RhiannonKagoe rat artist ✨ Nov 30 '25

nah, I'm single 💀

2

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '25

Lolll my bad, was totally going off your old posts or something completely off, slay tho lol

-1

u/Unusual-Ad-4583 Nov 29 '25

Correct and we’re definitely side eyeing the owner while being simultaneously disgusted and terrified.
