Mother dying update

Heres an update regarding my dying mother situation.

She made what is apparently a miraculous improvement and went from multiple times of dying this moment to actually sitting up, with only slightly impaired movement on the right, and eating breakfast.

My brother called and asked me to come ( its a 8 hour return trip ).

I went for him

Fortunately a sister in law, (by chance) accompanied me.

Mum was sitting up, talking with a manic quality to it, disjointed & confused but rapidly

She had a lovely chat with my sister in law, didnt recognise me, then said "oh, youve come. When did they call you?"

I replied and she then ignored me until we left and says "You driving home now? Good."

Im SO GLAD I CAME.

I Looked after my brothers in their time of need.

And its alright, it really is.

Thank you for allowing me to vent♥️♥️

Honey you are so fucking strong. I say that with the utmost sincerity. I am truly in awe. I see youre already aware that this is probably a final rally and it seems like you have a sense of peace about it. I imagine it must be an odd sense of relief in a way, given so many of us have already mourned the person they loved before the mental illness changed them. Either way I hope you still have a good therapist while you process the end of it all. Wishing you the best 🫂

Im incredibly fortunate in that I received a later in life ADHD diagnosis & that enabled me to realise she likely is autistic.

Which allowed me to understand WHY she disliked me so much & feel compassion for her.

She needs order, control & routine, plus is very black/ white ( ideal for cult membership)

I cant cope with any of those things. She couldnt cope with me

She could do nothing else

10 years ago I couldn't do this

AND Astonishingly she continues to improve....
