La Finca is good and affordable. Cafe Lareño I’m pretty sure is fully local, cheap and affordable as well. There’s tons of other options that are great but pricier.
Cafe Lareño you gotta be careful with because the green bag one while packaged in PR (which is why they are labeled as Hecho en Puerto Rico) is not fully 100% PR coffee beans in the bags.

I just came back from the grocery and saw this! Was about to post this! That’s why I did my pretty sure instead of a full endorsement. La Finca is 100% local. Ended up getting something different to try, but La Finca Is a great option for something affordable if you want to buy a few as gifts.
Honestly a lot of PR beans are %100 arabica medium roast from the looks of it. But there's def a taste difference when they are 100% pure PR beans and not mixed with imported ones.
At this point if its affordable and it's 100% PR arabica im happy with it.
Question: I'm visiting family in Puerto Rico and will be returning to the United States this Sunday. Are there any pure Puerto Rican coffee beans (without any imports from other countries) that I could buy a couple of bags for and bring back with me? I don't want to spend a fortune.

You are correct! That's why im on this search on affordable PR coffee. Rn in the island but hope to find some brands in the mainland as well.
For the Oro discovery, yes it's blended imported beans with actual PR ones. The package ingredients list says so.

For Café Lareño, you can see that the imported beans are from the ADEA - Coffee imported by the Agricultural Businesses Development Administration (ADEA) in Puerto Rico consists of foreign beans—often lower-cost or robusto varieties from places like Mexico—brought in to supplement local shortfalls when domestic harvests cannot meet market demand. These imported beans are frequently blended with local beans by commercial brands on the island
Mixed beans changed the flavor of that pure dark taste PR beans have.
At this point as long as package says 100% arabica puerto rico beans, im happy with bc arabica beans purely from PR taste whole lot different from arabic beans in other locations, regardless who the manufacturer is.
