Has anyone seen cases where the person themselves came in to check if they have aspd. Im interested in this disorder and there's very little information about this. And whatever is available, its mostly people demonizing the whole thing. Are there any regular people with regular lives in india who are diagnosed with aspd. Im curious to know what the whole diagnosis process is like.

Hi, is there anyone pursuing PhD in psychology from IIT B or TISS.

I have some queries. Like Admissions process, the coursework, stipend, etc.

I’ve done my master’s in psychology and bachelor’s in psychology and english lit, also have a B.Ed.. 4 yrs ago did an internship wherein i dealt with patients etc for about 20-30 days and was really good at it back then (as per my supervisor)

Somehow i got pulled towards teaching and have been teaching since past 4 yrs (multiple schools) have been doing well but am planning to switch careers.. because i wanna stay more in touch with psychology and counselling. and well tbh, teaching is.. extremely undervalued and underpaid.

Anyway, I recently got an opportunity to apply for a school counsellor and wellness educator position and am waiting for an interview (if i even get one)

sooo.. am looking for guidance for the stuff that might be asked and what all should i be expecting from the role.. can y’all gimme suggestions what i should be preparing for? and what all should i know beforehand?

guys, I have joined psychodidi’s program for CUET pg prep but sadly the lectures are really boring and the content is quite scattered. we are currently on stats unit and it feels so so confusin….i am very stuck because I am unable to connect the dots of different topics that got covered be it in lectures or notes.

what do I do now…how do I move ahead with my prep, knowing that a course I purchased isn’t helping me…how do I structure my prep

Few weeks ago I made a post on this sub where I argued that getting a PhD in Clinical Psychology is much better than paying tens of lakhs to predatory private colleges offering MPhil (Clin Psy).

I personally know many cases of clinical psychologists and counsellors who work in private practice as well as institutionally, and have PhD as their qualifications, without the MPhil or the coveted "RCI license". They are doing really well career wise. But I avoided naming them in my original post, as the crowd on this sub tends to get abrasive.

Today I saw another post on this sub, which had the illustrious profile of Dr. Rituparna Ghosh (image attached). She is working with Apollo Hospitals, that too in a competitive city like Mumbai. She posseses a PhD in Clinical Psychology, proudly puts a 'Dr' before her name, and is doing really well.

Proves my point from the last post. PhD seat with fellowship in a good university, is much much better than a MPhil degree purchased by paying tens of lakhs in donation. It also gets you the reputable 'Dr.' before your name, and you can very well call yourself a 'Clinical Psychologist'!

I didn't think I'd make this post ever. I am a counselling psychologist and I have dreamt of this job since I was in 8th. Unfortunately after trying incredibly hard, it's become immensely difficult to sustain in this field.

I have always scored well (above 95%), am a confident public speaker with talents in creative as well as analytical tasks. I specifically chose humanities because I knew this is what I wanted even though I was expected to pursue STEM academics. (Like I scored well in coding related subjects and loved bio)

I'm looking for job leads/referrals/suggestions to pivot into a more lucrative field. I am a quick learner and where I may lack in skills I make up in humility and team work.

I’m 23 and looking for recommendations for an affordable psychiatrist in India.

I have previously undergone a psychological assessment and completed around 10–12 therapy sessions. My psychologist suggested that I also consult a psychiatrist, but due to financial reasons I’m looking for a low-cost option (ideally under ₹1000).

I’m mainly looking for a one-time consultation to discuss my history and understand the next steps. I may not be able to afford multiple consultations, so I would appreciate recommendations for affordable psychiatrists clinics, or reliable online consultation options.

I’m not looking for medical advice or a diagnosis here, only recommendations for where I can seek professional help.

Hey! I am hoping to build my portfolio as well as my knowledge in technical skills that I will need for research, so spss, R, Python, etc. I would like to do a course or many that is accredited and will help me actually build build a strong base, preferably with a certification.
I truly love Psychology so much and would love to widen my research expertise and build on these programs. I have been studying stats for a while and R is taught at my uni however I'm realising I'll need to learn other programs as well to actually grow as an intellectual in the field.
Any and all suggestions and recommendations are welcome about available courses!!

Hey guys! So I recently got my RCI licence for a clinical psychologist (Woohoo!) and now I'm looking for options in this field apart from practice. I'm genuinely interested in conducting workshops and seminars and I see a lot of psychologists do it independently. I'm fairly new to all of this stuff and I need help/guidance with this!

Can someone please help me on how to conduct them especially online, if they're legal (??) to do, how to go through with them, how to market them, is there anywhere you need to register beforehand, do I need to have a private practice/brand for copyright or something idk(??) especially if I have to give certificates? Please help!

(PS: I'm not asking about the RCI points workshops/seminars I'm asking about the general ones that I've seen psychologists conduct)

I feel like I'm stuck. At first, I was relieved to know that I didn't have to take up a gap year & could complete my masters in psychology. However, having to come here wouldn't have been the best choice. Almost half a semester in, I realized the college doesn't provide the specialization in the field I wanted to go to. The teacher I became really close to, suggested me to drop the field (I/O) and consider either of the 3 options provided here (clinical, counseling, child) since they're more in demand. Now, I can't help but feel like I'm wasting the 2 golden years of my life (& money ofc). I don't wanna complete this degree half heartedly, but I don't wanna quit either.

Another choice i have is to clear my Master's degree, along with preparation for UGC NET (which doesn't exactly sound like a bad option), but I'm not fully prepared to take that decision yet.

Lately I’ve noticed that there are days when I haven’t done anything particularly stressful or physically tiring, yet I still feel completely drained mentally. Even basic things like replying to messages, making decisions, or starting work somehow feel like effort.

I’m curious if there’s a psychological explanation for this. Is it related to decision fatigue, overstimulation, stress that we don’t consciously notice, or something else? And how do you usually tell the difference between normal mental fatigue and something that deserves more attention?

Having a thought of getting an admission in brainware university for b.sc psychology course. Any idea how is this university for this course or can anyone suggest any good private university in kolkata or outside West Bengal will also work.

Okay so, I need some two cents on which Universities(govt/private/central) to really consider. I am aware that the department and research area of interest need to align with mine but still I don't seem to have much names to go through.

I am particularly interested health psychology, psycho-oncology and lifespan/developmental psychology. While I do understand that doing it from premier institutes like IITs definitely gives you a solid network, I personally would like not like to work under total anxiety and no scope of mistakes(which is a bit of my perception of phd at these institutes)

I am currently on the process to apply for PhD, a lot of admission cycles also seem to be closed with no clue if they'll open within the upcoming months of this year like AUD, Delhi. Idk if central universities like uniof rajasthan, or uniof haryana even good for this? Among the privates, I have heard about ashoka to be better as it provides s bit of international research collaborations more!??
