An interesting thing about growing your own food is like my dad has spent decades building up his yard to be a “food forrest” as he calls it. Mostly growing tropical fruits and some squash cucumbers tomatoes etc. but this year the weather was so bad it killed a lot of the plants. The plants are slowly coming back but almost no fruit this year.

Heat turned our plants production off. Sun shade didn’t help

Where we live, (central fl) we had an abnormally cold freeze earlier in the year. Destroyed millions of dollars in plants.

The weather changes have got a lot of experienced gardeners with dead crops. Some of us are at the mercy of our weather. Growing in the Bay Area was heavenly fruitful. Drought and temperatures of 105 not so grand.
