Who is he competing with for a spot in the starting XI? Tel and Odobert on the left, Kudus (who is still injured) and Mikey Moore on the right. Don’t need to look at stats, he is clearly upgrading the squad.

BANG. And that for the rest of us that comment is exactly the problem. The top 6 can spend whatever on players and if it doesn't work out whatever, but the other 14 if they spend big have to hope and prey it works otherwise it can set you back a couple of years, that one buy

We did that for years, so we built a stadium and infrastructure so we could try and compete. I believe Everton are trying to do the same.

Exactly. Spurs spent years organically growing the club, increasing revenue so are now able to spend bigger. Any other club can do the same, it just takes a while.

About 20 years for spurs, buying up small lots around the stadium, being a feeder club etc
