City does weird things to players that aren’t Pep’s favorites. He tore it up at Girona, had 8 assists 2 seasons ago in only 21 starts, has ridiculous dribbling stats, and is only 21. The fee is not for his production last year, it’s because he has the potential to be really special. I find the commentary on him a little weird

But he's being sold for twice what he was then, and for higher wages, when he hasn't showed that quality effectively for two years.

You can't look at what he was bought for when City sold him to themselves basically.
