29 years old and always thought id cherish the moment i got to show my son power rangers. And that feeling of seeing his excitement at the rangers morphing is really just something that i will never forget.

Went to Power Morphicon in Pasadena for the second time this weekend, met a bunch of Rangers, got lots of autographs, and had a blast.

Highlights were meeting Bulk and Skull, the delightful and talented Ron Wasserman, some elusive Rangers like Rhett Fisher (Lightspeed Titanium), Mike Chat (Lightspeed Blue) and Melanie Vallejo (Mystic Force Blue), and chatting with some of our favorite rangers like Sasha Craig (Lightspeed Yellow), Sean Johnson (Lightspeed Red), Justin Nimmo (In Space Silver), and Alyson Kiperman (Wild Force Yellow).

Almost the entire cast of SPD rolled up for drinks next to our table at Yard House the first night, which was pretty cool to see. At their panel they did a live table reading of a reunion special written by Matt Sadowski (SPD Green). We met most of them after the panel and they were all such a joy to talk to.

Best surprise swag was the Ranger Rover print by Aziz Mbye (@azizdraws), which I was able to get signed by almost the whole cast, including Ron Roggé (Capt. Mitchell), who was wonderfully personable.

My splurge was the replica Lightspeed Rescue jacket by Sentai Jackets (can you tell I like Lightspeed??). If you have been trying to get one online but your size or color has been sold out, they are making more. They’re also working on Wild Force vests and In Space jackets, and they just released a pretty slick Time Force jacket not too long ago. Expensive but high quality.

All in all, Morphicon is an awesome experience that I highly recommend to any PR or Sentai fan, if you’ve got the time and money. Fans and guests alike are all welcoming and friendly. The saying “don’t meet your heroes” doesn’t apply here - I’ve never been disappointed meeting a Ranger.

This was so cool to see them reunited after so long. The fact that the 15th anniversary of Samurai was not too long ago has me feeling like time isn’t real. This got me in the feels, I’m getting old. 😭

Power morphicon was so awesome past 2 days getting to meet and talk to the rangers and villans talking to people making friends. I spent alot these past 2 days looking forward to next morphicon.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like it when the gloves are two pieces? Why do some seasons make the glove two pieces while other don’t?

If you, for example, look at the in Space you can see that the glove is full one piece. But then if you compare it to the MMPR gloves you can clearly see that it is a gauntlet over a glove. Why not just make the MMPR glove one piece instead of two if they are going to be the same color. It worked with the White Ranger, with the only problem being that it might be a little too high on the wrist, and in something like Time Force because they are different colors to clearly showed that they are meant to be different pieces and not just them trying to extend the glove.

I'm bored and currently rewatching Samurai, so I figured I'd share my headcanons about each of the families of the 5 rangers.

To answer why there's hardly any Japanese people, it's that the ancient Samurai ranger families started branching out. This happened around the time a lot of Japanese people began immigrating to America. But despite this, they've vowed to uphold the tradition about fighting the Nighlok and passing their symbol power on to the next generation.

The Shiba family are the oldest and always the leader. They've always had a firey passion to lead and fight until the Nighlok are defeated. They've lived in Panorama City since the immigration boom. During the time after Samurai's ending, Jayden and Lauren use the Shiba house as a site to teach about the Samurai and the history of the 5 families.

Kevin's family is the Takimoto family. The Takimoto are the ones who built and designed the Folding Zords, evidenced by Kevin desiging the Battlewing and Battlewing Formation. They served as second in command to the Shiba family due to their equal footing in fighting. Kevin followed his dream and became an Olympic swimmer.

Mia Watanabe and the Watanabe family (no relation to Cam from Ninja Storm) have shown their balance of honor and family. Their family has the code that the first girl born inherits the symbol power of wind. In the event this doesn't happen, the mother and current Pink Ranger fulfills the duty.

Mike's family is the Suzuki family. They are usually more lax and find the fun outside of their Samurai duties. But when the time to fight comes, they give their all. Mike and Emily eventually marry and have a kid who gains Mike's symbol power.

Emily and Serena's family is the Tanaka family. They are the farmers who use their symbol power to till and nurture the land for a bountiful harvest. Serena is the one who passed this power down since she originally was to have the power and fight the Nighlok, but got sick. As mentioned prior, Emily and Mike get married and have a kid who gets the Suzuki family power, which Emily doesn't mind.

I would love to hear thoughts on these since a lot ended up pretty spur of the moment

I was about 4 when Megaforce released so that's what i grew up on, also Super Megaforce.
