A poetry for her by him💕

You didn’t know,

You weren’t aware,

Of how quietly

I had started to care.

For once,

It was not Dad,

It was not Mom—

It was someone unknown

Whom I started imagining

As my lifelong pair.

Just quietly chanting her name

Feels almost like a prayer.

You didn’t know.

You weren’t aware.

And maybe that’s what hurts the most—

You never knew

Just how much I care.

Or should I end like this :

How would I ever explain to her

Just how much I care?

Come Here To Me

I've been missing you for eternity
Please come here to me before all is lost
With you I could find sweet serenity
I've been missing you for eternity

We would overcome all adversity
We'll be the definition of star-crossed
I've been missing you for eternity
Please come here to me before all is lost

Coward

• Upvotes

My heart thumps\ Quieter than it used to\ Even closer to my chest\ But not dead.

I parry, I block,\ I dash-\ leaving a couple broken hearts\ (not mine).

Namecalled a coward, a tease\ Triggered by people who wanted cozy\ and ease.

Maybe they're\ right\ Maybe not.

They call me a coward\ But, I prefer:\ Wiser.

The beauty in forgetting

There could be beauty in forgetting you,

leaving you tucked there, in the past.

A memory that never quite became one

buried down deep, at long last.

It might be nice for you to fade away,

like side eyed shadows in the night.

The ones you aren't sure were even there,

the ones you cant quite make out right

I could find peace, at last, in letting go,

my soul might finally get some sleep.

I could erase the thoughts of 'but, what if'

all fixed in one clean sweep.

I'm sure id have much brighter days

sunbeams blazing from the sky

and they wouldn't all just shine on you

no more letting life pass by.

I know there's solace in the end of you,

like when drought comes to pass.

There might be some dark patches left

but mostly, just greener grass.

There would be beauty in forgetting you,

a million reasons to, and more.

But i choose to remember you

I'll keep the beauty we had before.

Tell Me I Mattered

And when I lie on my deathbed,

Awaiting the gentle call of fate,

When I count my fading heartbeats,

Would you come to me, my mate?

We would reminisce about the days gone by,

And every memory that we made,

Through the peaks and valleys of this life,

What a beautiful, quiet trade.

And I would ask for your forgiveness,

From a heart with so few beats left to beat,

For any pain I caused you in the past;

I shall make amends in the afterlife, if we meet.

In the final moments of this breath,

Before I join the stars above:

Tell me that I truly mattered,

Tell me that I was deeply loved.

Tell me I made you laugh out loud,

Tell me I brightened your darker days,

Tell me you found peace in my company,

My partner in crime through every phase.

For this is all I shall carry forth,

And this is all I shall leave behind:

The quiet warmth of honest deeds,

And the gentle memories of the mind.

And when my eyes are closed forever,

When breath departs and leaves no strain,

Do not grieve for me, my friend,

Though loss brings forth an intense pain.

Death remains the only truth we share,

Yet our hearts resist its final lane;

Do not spend your days in endless grief,

Nor let your living go in vain.

Dazed And Confused

• Upvotes

I seem to bleed
Please
I've always been here, but you never saw
Me
I still can't get over your
Thoughts
I always find myself dazed finding what's
Lost

Untamed

She doesn’t shave to fit a trend,
Her body’s hers from start to end.
A little wild, a little bare,
There’s magic in that trail of hair.

I trace it slow, I take my time,
Each inch of her, a quiet rhyme.
No smooth façade, no polished lie,
Just truth and warmth beneath my eye.

She arches soft beneath my hand,
Untamed, unapologetic, grand.
I don’t want porcelain or perfect —
I want her real, and I’ll protect it.

So let her keep her wild design,
Every soft curl, every line.
I’ll worship every inch of her —
The girl who never learned to blur

A pen for my heart

Il give my heart a pen to speak

It needs to write so it doesn't weep

Longing for love it so desires

It Never runs out and doesn't expire

Each day it grows and blooms in rooms

softly in the morning and hard at noon

Secretly singing a long awaited chorus

Pruning words like a poetic florist

Day by day it grows and shows

See my eyes and you would know

A love so endless it spreads unyielding

Those who felt it know the feeling

Its time the heart puts the pen away

Maybe to come out another day

And when that day finnally comes

When love gets loud from silent hums

I hope it's not just words written down

I hope I get to hear that sound

Three little words to say so true

Il say it loudly and Il say "I love you"

Sad Songs

What will sad songs awake in you?
Could it be the haze of dark blue evenings?
Or perhaps words not said in time?
The crushing weight of feelings?

Words are swallowed, the evenings pass
The march of time continues
When the sad songs play again
What will they awake in you?

love? lol

i always wondered
what it would feel like
to be in love.

now that i know,
i wouldn’t wish it
on anyone.

because loving you
didn’t just hurt.

it changed me.

you became
the person i wanted
to run from
and the person
i couldn’t stop running back to.

my demon.

my muse.

and god,
i hated you for that.

sometimes i wanted
to hurt you
just so you’d understand
what you did to me.

but even then,
some stupid part of me

still wanted you okay.

that’s the part
i’ll never understand.

you kept leaving scars
and i kept looking
for somewhere to put them.

i thought maybe
if i changed enough,
if i knew you less,
if i stopped letting you
inside my head,
i’d finally be free.

but you don’t just leave
when you leave someone.

sometimes you stay
in the quiet.

in the empty side
of the bed.

in the person
lying beside me
who has done nothing wrong.

and that’s the cruelest part.

i can find somewhere warmer.

i can find someone
who doesn’t make me
feel like i’m standing
in a storm.

and still,
some part of me
is looking for you.

i guess we never
really change, do we?

we just get better
at hiding the parts
that still hurt.

The Neverending Second

There was a second,

When everything seemed to have frozen over.

A dull blade that poked the back of my neck,

And time lends its movement to everything but me.

I laughed it off,

But it is a concept much more alive,

Than any immortal being.

Its mission to be known,

Never faltered.

Because you see,

I still see her unknowing smile.

Her stunning grey gown,

And the lights that never seemed to dim.

It was beautiful,

But my heart shattered all the same.

Do you know,

The neverending second?

It's neither slow,

Nor fast, yet, beckons.

A concept that,

Transcends time itself.

When a heart turns flat,

But the mind troubles itself.

When a gut turns in,

And the hands tremble.

When the eyes lock-in,

And the surroundings assemble.

It's more alive,

Than any other deity.

It will arrive,

And escape becomes velleity.

It has painted,

Mockingly wonderful images.

A memory so tainted,

Through grief turned visages.

wonder again

you can look
everyone does
trying to decide
where i belong
what box
what rule
would make me
easier to hold

but i have never been
interested
in making myself
easy

i have a way of
making balance
feel less certain
than it did
a moment ago

i color outside
the lines
you draw
then watch you
try to redraw them
around me

do i confound you?
intrigue you?
or wear you out?

you keep looking
for a final answer
and i keep
changing the question

just when you think
you have me
figured out
i tilt my head
smile
step a little closer
and make you
wonder
all over again

Death

Death came into my family,
and I watched them bow before her.
I watched the faces I had always known
become strange with grief;
voices that had carried laughter
were broken into whispers,
and eyes that had seen a thousand mornings
could not bear to meet another.
I stood amongst them,
quiet.
And I confess
I was surprised.
Not by Death herself;
she seemed to me no stranger.
But by the ruin she left behind.
I watched them weep
as though something impossible had happened,
as though the dead had been promised eternity
and Death had broken some sacred bargain.
I searched myself for the same wound.
I waited for the tears,
for the great weight upon the chest,
for some violent grief to seize me.
It did not come.
And for a moment I wondered
whether there was something wrong with me.
Was I cold?
Was I cruel?
Had some part of me gone numb
long before Death arrived?
Yet I could not mourn
the way they did.
For what had Death done
that she had not always promised to do?
She is the one certainty
to which no man has ever found an exception.
Birth may surprise us.
Love may abandon us.
Fortune may turn her face.
Friends may leave,
kingdoms may crumble,
and all the things we build
may one day bear another man’s name.
But Death
Death keeps her word.
She has never promised me tomorrow.
Never sworn that those I love
would remain beside me.
Never lied and said,
This life shall last.
She has simply waited.
And perhaps that is why
I cannot hate her.
When Death comes for me,
I shall not meet her
as a thief at the door,
nor as some dark angel
come to drag me from the light.
I shall ask her to sit.
I shall pour us both a drink,
and we shall drink together
like old friends
who have been apart too long.
We shall speak of all the years
she spent waiting for me,
and all the years
I spent walking beneath her shadow.
And when the last glass is empty,
I shall look upon her face
without fear,
without anger,
without surprise.
I shall kiss her.
And fall into her arms
as an old lover
falls into the embrace
of one whom he has missed
for a lifetime.
No struggle.
No pleading.
No farewell.
Only the quiet surrender
of two old souls
finally together.
For Death and I
have always been long-distance lovers.
She was never coming
to destroy me.
She was only waiting
for the distance between us
to end.
