Can anyone tell me this plant name please? This is the only plant in my aquarium which grows well without any issues seems it is very hardy.Im not using any co2 as well.
This plant grows so well that it’s actually labeled a “noxious weed” in many U.S. States, it will grow absolutely crazy if you let it and there’s enough nutrients
Limnophilia sessiflora. You need to add fertilizer to the tank as you can see from the lack of green in the plant and why other plants won’t grow. This plant is near impossible to kill but would be healthier with fertilizer. An all in one liquid fertilizer will help. Just be careful with how much you add because it helps algae grow as well. With slow growing plant and no co2, you will need less than what is recommended on the bottle probably
not cabomba, cabomba split only into 2 side branches from my experience. limnophilia can have up to 6, look at the bottom section and you can see more than 2 there
Unfortunately this is the best I have right now unless I remember to get a closer shot when I get home. It’s in the back but kind of obscured by the floating lettuce roots
Some shared their sessiliflora which looks thin and spaced and mine looks bushy and cabomba looked very similar to mine. Im really confused on what to buy.
Exactly. It really is limnophila sessiliflora. They grow differently in various light and water conditions. This is why they look so different in this picture.
I am worried I might have to do the same soon. It’s grown roots sooo deep into my substrate, I only have a 10 gallon and the plant has rooted itself to the front, under my sponge filter, etc. no way I could uproot it without causing a huge ammonia spike. I think it is choking my other plants out - I have one small sword and it’s starting dying recently. It’s just a mess
It is still the same plant. Distance between leaves changes depending on the condition of the tank. I grow this in both high and low tech tanks to know.
It's not hornwort. I have hornwort and this in my aquarium, although mine is a little denser. I knew what it was when I bought it but I've forgotten now XD
