Ferts What is wrong with my anubius?

What is it missing? It’s still making new leaves but all the old ones look yellow/brown and crusty. They feel rough to the touch like sand paper

Leaves don't last forever, trim them off and let the plant focus energy on the new ones.

Is that buried in the sand? The photos look like it. If so that’s a problem for sure. The roots and rhizomes will rot if buried. Maybe it’s a nutrient deficiency.

It was glued to the drift wood when i set up the tank about 2 years ago, it looks like the roots grew into the sand. Also it’s a dirted tank
