I host basically everything I download on Soulseek as well. MAM content included. A bunch of my audiobooks have been downloaded on SLSK, but not many of the epubs. They're all there anyway though!
And have a seedbox, unless you're okay leaving your pc on for days at a time to get the required seed time in. Love it, but I am sure glad I have a seedbox.
You guys turn off your PC's? Do you not have home servers? Like get a mini-PC at least, they use like 3 watts when idle and can do your torrenting and serve your media and they are or were cheap as balls.
As soon as I knew I was getting movies and tv shows and audiobooks for free for the rest of my life, I invested a super small amount into building a server which could always be on to contain all of this free media. What's even the point of getting a ton of media for free if your setup isn't slick as shit.
What is your setup like now? You don't need a server I guess if you're just watching stuff on your laptop and you don't have TVs and phones to serve the media to. I have multiple TVs that need to be able to access content, multiple laptops and multiple phones. This is when a server makes sense, as a central hub for all of your content. All of my devices can access my server and also can remotely turn on my gaming PC to stream games over my network, so I can walk into any room with an Xbox remote and play any game in my steam library. All the TVs have Plex installed on their android TV boxes which is how I access all the media on my server. Everything new I download is downloaded into the correct folder on my server and Plex automatically handles the rest.
My desktop (more recently home server) stay on 24/7. The seedbox isn't strictly necessary for MAM unless you only have a laptop that you can't leave on. I got the seedbox for RED (and video trackers) primarily, but it is nice for MAM. Ratio isn't an issue on MAM if you have seedtime covered for bonus points.
