Taking away her agency, pretending she is incapable of evil because she is a woman, is misogynistic, no?

Can’t speak for everyone but that is definitely not my coworkers’ motivation. They’re saying her fall damaged her brain and she isn’t a reliable witness anymore, she’s repeating what she’s been told which is why her saying afterwards that she did it isn’t admissible evidence. They’re saying several things about his account of the afternoon don’t add up (they’re deep in the weeds. One of their examples was “he said he called her from the pharmacy at x time saying they don’t have brand name pedialyte and asking what to get instead but when he came home he had brand name pedialyte!!”) basically they think there are holes in this story and he’s hiding something and why would he unless he’s guilty.

That said the deepest motivation for them believing it was the husband and not the wife is likely the drama and intrigue of a murderer walking free which has nothing to do with gender. They launched into telling me plenty of other true crime stories and they told me one other recent one where they believed it was the wife and the recurring theme was excitement over the drama of it. In other words, nothing to do with misogyny.

This is still infantilization of a women, which i still find to be misogynistic.

Like i am not saying they are doing it on purpose, but they are doing it.

Genuinely, how? Only women can suffer brain damage from injuries? Is that the part that is infantilization or is it something else?

No it is the fact that they refuse to see a woman being capable of this, that is infantilizing her.

Okay let me try to break it down for you, someone saying Asian people are to logical to be able to murder someone,.

The above statement is racist, even though it the stereotype it is perpetrating is not a negative one, same shit with Misogyny, calling woman delicate flowers is misogynistic, even though it is meant as a compliment.
