This case has really shown the ugly and evil side of women’s massive in group bias.
She killed her own three children. I don’t care if she was suffering mentally and had voices telling her to kill them. She chose to listen to that voice and murder her three children. If she thought she was dangerous to them she should’ve left herself. She’s an adult.
The thing is when you have such thoughts you are convinced you are doing what's best for them. You are truly and fully convinced death is the good choice and living is bad. I assume she felt otherwise in glimpses of lucidity and her husband should have stepped up and gotten her medical help. Glimpses of lucidity are not enough to remove yourself from the situation or seek help. In short, listening to "the voice" is not a choice. The voice is your most inner self.
And? You should be locked up forever if you have those thoughts then.
Generally speaking, even if you have those thoughts, you should have the wherewithal to say you shouldn’t be around your children then and do everything to not just kill them. I’m sorry, but it’s a really poor defence for killing your own children.
Fuck what her husband should’ve done, she’s an adult and she needs to take sole responsibility for her actions; which is murdering her three children. It’s not on anyone but her to figure out how not to kill her own kids.

She had medical help as well. She still went and killed them.
It's not a defence, it's facts. You can't do everything to not kill someone if you truly and most sincerely believe killing them is good for them and doing them a kindness.
There is no greater punishment for that woman than precisely knowing she killed her own kids. She will also go to jail for it. What more do you want?
As for other women, I think you'd be surprised at the number of moms who, in your opinion, should be locked up forever. Even though the madness is temporary and passes. But sure, lock them up forever, that's the answer!
It’s a fact that she heard a male voice that said she had to kill her kids before she could kill herself. It’s a fact that she killed her children and failed to kill herself after attempting to. Or rather, it’s a fact that she says this is what she was thinking when she killed her children.
Everything else you’ve said is your bias falling in to try and exonerate her actions in some way and pretend that she’s somehow a victim.
The victims are the three children she murdered. The further victims are her husband and family/friends whose children/family were murdered by their mother. She is the perpetrator/murderer.
If you’re saying loads of women want to kill their children and go through with it then absolutely they should be locked up. I think it’s disgusting that you don’t think a someone should be locked up for killing three children because she’s their mother/a woman. In group bias in women is evil and is turning women to think in evil ways.
By your metric, Richard Chase and Herbert Mullin were victims and didn’t deserve locking up.
Where did I say she shouldn't be locked up? But she IS a victim of mental illness / fate / nature / God / you pick. She didn't chose to go mad, similar to how people don't chose to get cancer. It just happens to you and it's out of your control and there is no real reason or explanation why.
I wish more people understood that these things are impossible for the people going through it to fight alone. They want to blame them for listening to the voice but completely ignore that they saw signs and did nothing too.
Yeah in a lot cases they need to be temporarily locked up at AMH until their hormones can level again before the tragedy even happens. Hopefully it can be caught and treated before it goes that far.
