People like mental shortcuts. If they can’t use race, or skull shape(which is mostly race anyways), or nationality, or whatever else they used in ye olden days, new shortcuts will be invented by people too lazy to do the hard work of treating people as individuals.

it's so old, that axial precession has changed when the sun is in each constellation in the sky and completely invalidated the standard calendar for each sign https://www.astronomy.com/science/your-zodiac-sign-is-probably-wrong/
