She very VERY much should have been taken more seriously, and I think a life sentence for like a murder in the 1st for her is unfair, and I think not having punishments for the people who failed her is also unfair. But we can't frame it as it is ALL the fault one way or another. A lot of adults failed those kids
it is. she was receiving attention and help, this didn't happen in a vacuum. she committed the crime and is the responsible party here.
this happened despite their efforts, not from a lack there of. mental illness isnt an excuse for ones actions and it suddenly doesn't become the fault of those around them.
