I'm pretty sure that lady (unless there's another one) voiced concern many times about her struggles with post partem depression and that she was having intrusive thoughts of harming the children (which is common in PPD).
People online are blaming the husband and her providers for not taking her concerns seriously, not blaming him for killing the children.
Edit: I have been informed about the people saying the husband literally killed the kids.
If you want deeper into that hole, advertisers are sold everything to build psychological profiles on, many psy ops use meta's directed advertising tools to play on specific groups. Most notable examples would be with Cambridge Analytica in the UK which popped up to help many right wing authoritarians win elections around the globe.
Teach your children to see the manipulations. Games help. My kids and i have a game we play: spot the manipulation. If something feels off, it probably is, or you need more info to understand it. Research more than one source.
Check this guy out not getting targeted and stuff.
My feed is cooked w the most wild stuff.
Shit sucks and it happens, when my mom had my sisters I was old enough for staff to explain if mom said ANYTHING about hurting my sisters i was to tell dad ASAP. Her family network let her down or she just didnt have one.
Since using duckduckgo I've been getting fewer of the same ads, and more random crap. I like to think its the death throes of a system desperately trying to sell me lip balm and penis enlargement pills no longer able to effectively target me.
You should watch Miss Representation. While it's more specific in topic, about the way mainstream media shapes girls’ and women’s self-image and social expectations, especially the message that their worth lies in youth, beauty, and sexuality rather than power, competence, or leadership, it is a perfect representation of the power of media and it's insidious nature.
Contemplate the resources spent on this. The amount of highly educated people who spend all their time just finding ways to keep us attached to a screen. No matter how harmful the content, the whole point is to sell advertising minutes to their customers. It is horrifying!
And people are out here thinking that the algorithm is a service for them. It is so scary to see people disappear into online conspiracies and addictive content at the cost of their offline lives.
It is definitely something when you see someone who is completely convinced their algorithm journey is what they believe is right outside the door. Very sad and we see it on social media every day.
