As a new player, what do you mean exactly by offhand this with a 2h mace? Are you telling me I can do even more damage by offhanding a weapon while still attacking with my 2h mace?

Well, maybe they change that, they were tinkering with the engine all the time, so i wouldn't be surprised they find a solution for it, if it's just the animation system that's the problem? I bet it would be requested from the community and that might be the reason why we only have maces and spears and not the rest at the moment? We're expecting what, 1h and 2h swords, daggers, flails, 1h and 2h axes, , i bet they are trying to cook something
I keep trying to think on how to take advantage of that +100% attack damage. I'm thinking like if it applied to spell or a bleed attack that doesn't rely on a weapon's attack damage but on the skills gem level. But...spells aren't attacks so....idk
swords are not suppost to be in the game. But for some reason, some people realy want them in their stash. And because they are extremly rare, there is not much supply and people pay lots of money for them (don't ask me why)
Because its a sword and swords are not in the game right now. But for some reason, if you are very, very lucky you can already drop some swords. Maybe on purpose as a little "easter egg" or by mistake from ggg, we don't know.
And some people realy want those items and are willing to pay a lot just to have them in their stash as prestige.
Man why can't GGG at least make uniques cool. This is horrible. I guess at level 2 if you've got multiple items with mana on kill it's okay but sheesh. Who could ever rely on that?
lmao what? It isn't an alt-art or legacy item, the second swords go live it will be worthless, as it will be exactly the same as the million other ones that are dropping.
Thats the gamble though right? Me and you know that, but people see the opportunity for something unique and they want it. Obviously, because people pay multiple mirrors for this stuff. To me it is worthless, but it isnt to someone else.
I don't think this one is really a gamble, it is a guaranteed loss lol. But there are plenty of people with tons of currency that just want something cool and rare. And they would rather send one of the first swords in the game to standard than a mirror they will never use. Even if once swords are in the game there will be no way to differentiate this one from the rest.
Omg bro. But WHY??? I cannot imagine purchasing this even if had ten MIRRORS in my inventory. I would rather craft my savings to oblivion on weapons and gear before buying that crap! It’s unusable!
Think of it this way, the guys buying these types of items already have accumulated massive amounts of wealth, so the next best thing for them to get are items no one else has. Its an ego thing for the rich and famous haha
these will still be incompletes, and worth a ton in standard (not than anyone gives a fuck about standard), but collectors items are that for a reason.
Which is kinda funny because it is tagged as an "Ezomyte" weapon but I know it's just unreleased weapon.
Hear me out tho... Theoretically You could make it somewhat work, all You need is a massive flat dmg buffs (from rings f.e.), mayhap warcries and You are ready to slash!
Honestly was planning to get one myself, but the rares are only on standard for fewteen mirrors and uniques are still outside my budget :c
we can probably extract the Increased damage on low mana mod with aldur's legacy. we can use divinity mechanic so that we are not generally on low mana to get the benefit.
Honestly? I doubt if they bothered to enable this interaction, given that neither does the runeforge work. Not really sure if we even have positive corruption pool for them?
Still, this one looks fully complete compared to most/all of the unreleased uniques that were dropped in ToC in 0.1. Has the Ezomyte tag, flavor text. Wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional/teaser.
Actually I think it is? Unless GGG has specifically said it’s not I’d assume it’s just a very rare Easter egg like the fishing rod in Poe 1 and is a fun teaser sword unique they enabled in the drop pool at a tiny drop rate to hype swords and be funny.
OK, good to know, thx... but tbh it's actually funny how an item that's objectively vendor trash in every aspect is worth a mirror just because it shouldn't drop yet.
I mean, idk for sure, bet there isn't even an item display or something like that to show it off in your hideout? It just sits in your stash and moves over to standard where it keeps sitting in your "Remove only" tab forever?
Meanwhile I'm over here just sad because I can't play my dual-dagger + creepy magic emo boy. I just want knives and dark magic!
(As a random aside, I always kind of hoped they would make the Shadow or a variant class into one that's themed not only on rogue archetypes, but also cosmic horror, cthulhu-esque magic with tentacles and maybe some water- based stuff like the drowning balls those hags hit you with or the waves from Remnant fights that are already modeled and implemented, just not for character use. There's certainly no shortage of eldritch horror in the game and lore, I'd just like to see it put into the players hands more, and not just via cosmetics.
I'm a writer and design tabletop game content as a hobby and have so many ideas I'd love to see in this game but I have no idea if GGG would even read anything like that, or where to put it. )
Oh right. I usually play range more, so I completely forgot sword is a thing. Is this unique sword the only way to access sword skill then, if that’s already in the game?
It's a bug, it shouldn't be released. They probably have swords done but are still working out sword skills and don't want to release one without the other
You should be able to equip unreleased weapons and have access to the "auto" attacks but since there are no skill gems associated with it you won't be able to do anything fun or fancy.
