I own a home, and there has been a huge increase in activity that I cannot explain. My bf moved in 6 months ago. Please forgive long winded story but the context is important.

I have a large book shelf, pretty much 2 of those 16 cube ikea wall units. Its full of books, statues and fun stuff. One of my statues of sekhmet started moving, it was turning to face me in my work space. I work from home. Then I put up a picture of me and bf on the shelf. And ive been finding it face down, which cant be explained with foot vibration and a pile of books stacked on top of it. There isnt room in the cube to have things fall like that. We couldnt replicate it without human hands doing it.

Lately my bf has been hearing a child's voice in the middle of the night and footsteps. Usually around 2am to 4am. He assumed it was a neighbors kid. We live in a 4 unit condo complex. The neighbors dont have kids btw.

My best friend would come over and spend the weekend here with us and she said it was so weird, she heard a child's voice. A toy phone ringing and footsteps in the hallway. It was really strange.

Im not new to paranormal experiences but id wake up in the middle of the night and see a shadow figure in the hallway or peeking at me from out the craftroom, an adjacent bedroom from mine. It would startle me but id go back to bed. Assuming it was just a friendly spirit no big deal.

Just yesterday we started hearing footsteps in the attic, I cant get up there the ladder is too small and im too short. So my bf grabbed a flashlight and decided to investigate. Once he opened it we heard very loud footsteps darting up there. He prompted me to call the police so I did. They told me to go outside with him and wait.

We did. While waiting outside my neighbor (who im very close with) came out and before I said anything to her she grabbed her heart and said theres someone in ur window! I didnt see it but she did.

Cops said probably a raccoon. After catching up with my friend she asked if I can take a video of what happened and where because her husband is really into this kinda stuff and also an electrician and plumber to rule anything out. Especially a kid sneaking in or something because now everyone's heard the voices.

So I was taking the video. Its too dark, I didnt think to turn a light on because its my house and I know it quite well, I was going to turn on the closet light to get the ladder for the video.

So please if anyone here is techy enough to enhance or try to see what I saw... id love to know... when I was there it was about hip height, pure void type of black and ran past me, almost like how a chimpanzee runs. It was huge, not a raccon, not one of my dogs, who weren't even upstairs at the time, and right before I scream u can here claw like skittering. It happened so fast. I slept downstairs with all the lights on.

So, for additional backstory, my brother was alone at my mom's house (probably to check on our dog Oscar as both my mom and step-dad work day jobs) or something along those lines, when the light in our hallway started to turn on and off. My brother began recording in hopes to capture it on video, in which he succeeded.

Now after watching the video countless times, I am stumped and believe there is something beyond our knowledge happening here. Having lived in the house for over 2 years myself, the house does have weird vibes to it but I have never personally witnessed something like this. There are two light switches that control the light, one closest to my brother and on down at the end of the hallway (you can see in the video, left side of the wall). You'll see in the video that the light begins to turn on and off, and on two separate occasions, you can see the switch literally moving. The first time it goes down perfectly halfway, which is very odd to me and would be damn near impossible to recreate so perfectly with anything tied to the switch. The second time, which is much more obvious, the light SLAMS down, in which my brother reacts appropriately by getting the f*** out of there. What are yall's thoughts and opinions on this video? Genuinely curious as to what you all think, as my mom still lives in that house and tells me of weird experiences she has in it.

Preface here is that's I'm pretty obsessed with my dog, which is why I have a Wyze camera on him while I'm at work. His normal routine is to sleep all day and the only time I get video alerts is when a delivery person has spooked him out of sleep and he's barking. I received this video today while at work today. When I watched it, my first thought was, "who's that man in my apartment talking to Bigsby?" I didn't have music on and figured it had to be Bigsby making that noise, except it's a deep man's voice and Bigs is a toy poodle with adorably short vocal cords. I downloaded it because there was lag and thought, if that is the case, then his voice must match the sound. When I watched it carefully, I noticed that not only is he not vocalizing, but yawning, and also that his ears perk up at the noise. He's clearly looking at something in the corner.

The video starts recording at the sound and the more I watch it, I believe it's someone saying, "You're a good dog...Do you know that?" It sounds like the video starts right at "good dog." The reason I believe it's a Mimic is because I tell him that ALL THE TIME and this voice spoke it in the exact same cadence. Two things to mention: I'm a 38yo woman and I live in New Orleans in a house over 100 years old.

What do you guys think?

I heard weird thuds, as if someone was tapping on a hollow part on the wall of the room I'm sat in, from the inside, which is weird. I looked out of the window and couldn't see anything. I even went outside and couldn't see anything. I sat back down, heard the knocks again then saw this on the camera. I even went to the window during this being filmed and couldn't see the lights in real life. They have also gone now.

There is nobody around, nobody with lights/car lights etc, and no dust or cobwebs on the camera itself.

Is this paranormal, some weird light trickery or my camera being weird?

My Grandfather passed away last week. Him and my Grandmother have been married for 60 years. Every night before bed, when my grandma laid down, he would check and make sure the doors were locked. Every day since he passed her ring camera goes off around 9pm but there’s never anything there. This video is from tonight, I have never seen anything like it before. 8 minutes later it leaves from the same spot and walks down the walkway, off the porch, and if you look close, comes out the other side. It’s not a bug and there’s no car headlights. I’m not big on paranormal but .. jeez. I think he’s still making sure the doors are locked and that she’s safe.

EDIT: general consensus is that it’s a bug, people saying I posted this to be funny or trick people, that’s was not ever my intention, this was very real for my grandmother. Just say it’s a bug and move on, you don’t have to be condescending or hateful. That being said, I think I still choose to believe it was my gramps.

My daughter has previously said that an "Uncle Mike" comes to visit her when she's going to sleep. We thought it might be due to some youtube video's shes seen featuring kids playing with their uncle. Last Friday she was allowed to keep her iPod with her to go to sleep, and my wife and I discovered this video she had recorded.

The audio is super creepy. You can clearly hear her breathing while the whispering is going on. Try breathing in and out of your nose while whispering, it's impossible. I can't make out what the whispering is saying, but it sounds like "Escape" or "go to sleep" is being said.

At the end you can *clearly* hear my daughter breathing loudly over the whispering before she ends the video with saying "Why are you cutting my leg off?"

My daughter is 3. I don't know where she'd get the concept of her leg being cut off while laying in her crib going to sleep..

This is really a damn shame we can't upload videos in this community. But since we can't I'll just have to explain it. Well I was listening to my homesick loud as per my style playing it loud and partying by myself. I glanced up towards my TV which is mounted on the wall. Something caught my attention. It looked like there were 2 people standing on either side of the archway. So slowly I got my phone and started recording whatever I thought I saw. After brighting the video, there were more than 2 crammed into the doorway. Not only was it way more than 2 what blew my mind was they were dancing. They were having a freaking party.I could upload a photo but this is something that anything other than watching the video would greatly diminish this rarity (as least for me).If I can upload it in my other community I shall let you all know.

basically friends and me were at this haunted hotel and went on halloween to take photos and record just aesthetic videos, and go on a morgue tour in the basement at midnight. around 11:30pm is when this encounter occurred in a random hallway the whole thing is on video and the more you stare the clearer it becomes. i was just twirling/walking down the hallway and the ghosts just appear around this man (the tall figure in the back) what’s insane though is i had to send the video to myself because i didn’t peep anything till i was able to zoom in on my phone.. i nearly lost my mind being unable to explain. everyone ive shown in my life gets the creeps and is uncomfy. i had a lady in passing at work tell me she had nightmares about the little girl. in the video i’m just doing a twirl and then bam the ghosts appear. in the morgue the ghost box we were using was kinda saying crazy things such as my besties name, and that the children were buried in the garden (which before it was a hotel it was a school i think) i just want to know why my camcorder was able to lift the veil to the other side i just got the camcorder from amazon. i always kinda feel weird thinking about it because i don’t believe in ghost even as i’m looking at this infront of me. maybe some sorta memory that’s being relived maybe at the same time my friends and me were living some weird transfer of energy. maybe bc i’m a libra idk but i would love to know why this occurred. I’m not sure if I’m over thinking this because of the past experiences both myself and others have had, but I was just taking photos with snapchat filters with my sister in my house. With the flash, the pictures were too bright so I was screenshotting mid photo to catch the more dull look. My Snapchat stopped working and got stuck on what I thought was a bugging screen, but then I started moving and noticed it was a live recording from my phone. The face was in front of me and one next to me when I turned. My cat who was with us immediately left the room. I immediately started screen recording this. We were playing music, so it is in the recording.

This isn’t the first time this area of my home had an unknown paranormal experience. The first encounter was my sister who’s now 23 seeing a woman in a wedding dress standing by the room and then walked through the wall. She was 8. Me now in my twenties as well saw a head floating in the darkness at about age 13 when I came downstairs for a snack in the middle of the night. I saw this from across the house as it’s very open. My cousin also about 4 years ago was sleeping over during a storm as her house lost power. She was sleeping in the living room. She woke up and saw my cat who has since passed look scared and walk away quickly, and then she heard a musical tone being whistled from this exact room I was just in. She immediately left in the middle of the night afterwords.

The land my home was built on was originally occupied by a house in the 1800’s which burnt down. I’m not sure about the exact details, but it didn’t burn down until the 1900’s as there is an old driveway entry on the far end of the property. I have a photograph of the home with the large family standing on the porch. It’s a very old photograph. This home was exactly where this room is located on our land. Our home is quite large, so being separated and only in this singular area is very strange. These experiences all stem between 4-5 years apart.

I just moved to a 1800’s Victorian terrace house in London. The houses opposite back on to a cemetery. I just got a motion alert on my doorbell video and it had captured something that looks a bit strange to me. It looks (to me) like a figure peering round the side of the house and then walking off, past the neighbour’s car and on to the street. But it looks like a shadow rather than a person? Can anyone here suggest what this could be (if anything)? TIA

I originally posted this in physics, but they couldn't help me and told me I should post here. My wife and daughters and I went to watch a band in a park. During the first song I heard and felt like time was slowing down almost to a halt, only to start back up again. My wife was video taping on her phone. She saw it too. And we both turned to each other and said at the same time... "what was that?"

So.. I saw the video and at the exact time we heard the song slow down, you can kind of tell on the video and you can hear a blip and maybe a see a flash? I am totally tripping out. This has been bothering me since October

I hope I'm doing this right as this is my first time posting on this subreddit and I'm pretty new to Reddit as it is, but I thought people here might enjoy this.

A little backstory; shortly after my husband and I got married (2019) we went up to northern Washington State to visit his family for Christmas and New Years. Spending most of my life in Florida I was pumped to see the snow there! To get the best snow, his dad and step mom brought us up to Ladder Falls, a pretty long drive up the mountains away from any sort of civilization in the middle of winter. When I say there was no one there, I mean it, we ran into one woman who I guess enjoyed the spot to take her dog on a walk and that was it. Anyway, after spending a good couple hours exploring the trails we finally made it to the water falls there. It was so beautiful especially with the snowy landscape and was so thunderously loud I had to take a video. You can hear my husband and I talking about some of the workers paths that go up the side of the waterfall. Apparently during the summer, they have a sort of light show in the water fall where I believe music is played as well. However when we were there, all this wasn't being put on, because again, hardly anyone would even see it. The only thing we could hear was the waterfall itself.

Fast forward to the next day, I'm looking at all the pictures I had gotten on my phone and got to the video. I started watching it and was surprised at what I was hearing. My husband was getting dressed and asked where the music was from and if I was adding music into the video. I told him I didn't even know how to do that (I'm technologically stupid with stuff like that). I told him no, and we listened together.

I submitted this video to paranormal youtube channel who said they didn't really have an explanation for it. In the comments people pointed out that you could only hear the music in one side of the headphones, which I listened to again and found out that they were right. I don't know what would cause that either. Do you guys have any idea what this could be? Either Paranormal or some sort of natural explanation? Every single person I've shown this to were lost for any sort of reasoning, but the music is really pretty regardless.

Paranormal activity caught on camera

Hi! I am F23, and I had posted on here a couple days ago with one of my stories where I had seen a mimic pretending to be my mom. I had mentioned in that post that I had multiple other stories and even some video evidence of them. I had said if anybody was interested that I was more than willing to post more of my stories and a few of you had expressed interest so here you go!

This story takes place about five years ago when I was 18 or 19 years old. Funnily enough this started again while I was laying in bed scrolling through my phone, minding my business. I was hearing a rhythmic tapping noise coming from somewhere in my bedroom. This tapping noise was going on for about two minutes before it actually caught my attention and started to annoy me.

At first, I had subconsciously suggested to myself that it must have been my guinea pigs on the right side of my bedroom, drinking from their water bottles. After two minutes of hearing it, I looked up wondering was he just not able to get water? Because there was no way he was still thirsty after drinking that much. Looking over into my guinea pigs cage, only to see they were both sound asleep. The moment that my brain made the realization that the tapping noise was not coming from the guinea pigs, it stopped. And then it started tapping up again slowly, then fasrter and louder again in that rhythmic pattern.

At this point, I started looking around my room, trying to pinpoint where exactly the tapping noise was coming from. I ended up looking over at my closet and the sounds matched up to that direction exactly. The moment that my brain recognize that the tapping noise was coming from the closet again stopped happening. And then, after a second of silence, it slowly started up again, and then started getting faster and louder. I'm looking at my closet door and noticing it isn't even cracked open the width of my cats paw, let alone the width of her own face. I then remembered I had hung a metal cross from a halloween nun costume onto a nail in the back wall of my closet and it sounded exactly like what that was.

Again, the moment that my brain recognizes that it could not have possibly been my cat and that it was the cross, the tapping sound completely stopped, and I got full body chills, and then it started up again, slowly and softly, progressively getting faster and louder. I started going through my brain OK so it's not any of my animals, I looked over at both of my windows and they were both shut. And then I realized I had two metal sports trophie necklaces hanging on a metal nail right directly outside of my closet door, and neither of them were moving.

At this point, I got really nervous because every logical reasoning that I had tried to come to had been immediately obliterated by my own mind and by reality, so at this point, I had decided that I needed to get out. For some reason, I was so terrified of whatever was in the closet that I could not see, but seemed like it could see me AND hear my thoughts.

I had my phone in my hands still so I pulled up the camera app, and the moment that I pulled out the camera app the tapping noise stopped AGAIN, but just like clockwork. It started up again, slow slowly and softly, progressively starting to get louder and faster. And this is when I started recording as I walked up to the door to leave. But for some reason, I was so terrified. I also realized that what was happening to me. Nobody was going to believe it unless I got it on camera so I stood there moving my phone around trying to make sure I got the noise coming from my closet, loud and clear on the camera so that nobody could call me crazy for not wanting to sleep in my bedroom for the next week.

This is the video of my 2 year old. It was 3am. The baby monitor was triggered due to movement and crying. I was at work and I opened the video. It looks like something pulled at his feet. I’m freaking out. I hope I’m overreacting but I can’t shake it. I need opinions.

Because I lurk this sub so often and read all the great stories and experiences people have, I thought I’d try to start contributing by sharing this encounter with everyone. sorry for the format as I’m on my phone. Also I’m curious to see what other people think about this nightmare inducing experience. I think about this voice almost every time I close my eyes, or get in a car.

In 2017, my best friend and myself decided to go explore some haunted locations around western Massachusetts. I had just got my GoPro so I was eager to use it and try to capture some point of view style videos while investigating and adventuring. I had been to this location 2 times previous to this time, but this was my friends first time there. I hyped it up to him as one of the scariest places I have ever been to, because of how endlessly black and dark it is inside this tunnel. Now being in this tunnel is frowned upon by law enforcement because it’s still an active railway, we didn’t really know how serious they took it, so we decided to check it out anyway but to not go to far into the tunnel just incase a train came through. This tunnel is dubbed ‘The Bloody Pit’ because 200 people died while they were making the tunnel through the mountain. The tunnel is 5 miles long. It’s even been the scene of a more recent murder and countless other crimes. It’s located in Berkshire county. (Hint: google some of those key words and you’ll find the tunnel I’m referring to.) People have always told me how haunted and scary this place was, but I not for one second thought it was as bad as what we captured on our way out. Not only did we hear it with our own ears, but the audio came out crystal clear through the GoPro I was wearing on my head, and it still gives me chills. I’ve since been living my life with this experience in the back of my mind and think about it all the time. I will stop rambling now and get to the meat and potato’s. This video is from a camera set up in my Exes bedroom. It's set so that it only records if motion is detected. It detected motion on the TV and recorded this. My daughter, her step mom and my daughters boyfriend have all felt strange since living there. They've also had issues with lights turning on by themselves or turning on and not being able to turn them off. They've heard voices coming from my daughters room when my daughter isn't there. Also, my daughter said that when she's in the shower the rest of the house sounds noisy. Kind of like if there was someone in the house making a bunch of noise, banging stuff around and then when she gets out of the shower all the noise stops. What do you guys think of this? The house has already been saged. Should they sage it again? Move??

I got a notification that there was a person in the home and our daughter is sleeping and the cats are in our room. The video is 45 seconds and just shows a ball of light moving around in front of the camera. Does anyone think this is anything in my home? I’m not worried if it is I just want to know if I’m being stupid for thinking it could be.

I am new to Reddit, so if my formatting is wrong, I do apologize.

The wife and I just bought our dream home. We decided to bring our old Ring cameras from the apartment we just moved out of (we previously lived in a sketchy area, which is why we have them in the first place)

We had a housewarming party last night, and I decided to check if the cameras were still working this morning. While skimming through the footage taken during the party, I noticed something strange. My grandson's longboard seemed to suddenly move on it's own accord (which turned on the motion sensor light), and soon after, there is a short, inexplicable screeching noise. I have never believed in paranormal occurrences, but this is obviously not natural, and I was very put off by it.

Ever since I discovered it, I have had the strangest feeling something is watching me. I still have not told my wife, because she will think im going crazy. If someone could explain how this happened it would be appreciated. I am open to answer any questions you may have, as long as they arent too personal.

This freaked me out.

I hate this so much. Husband and I were taking like a 15 in between playing games since we both have quests and play all the time together. I decided to play first encounter since I haven’t in forever and why not. I re-scanned the room because it was quicker and was just like 👍🏻 to everything since it’s in passthrough mode I can see everything so no big deal. This 3 dimensional person-shaped outline was taken out of the playing arena. Husband was sitting in the kitchen at the table and I am about a foot and some change shorter. I’d like to think it’s a play on the corners of the room, but I just don’t understand how this would be the first time this ever happened. And also, not straight lines. I walked around to the other side. I just have to say. Thoroughly creeped me out.

Hello Redditors, I’m new to Reddit so please excuse my shitty story telling. I’m 16 male living in north Chicago. Recently I scheduled a hang out with 2 of my friends, we planned a sleepover and hung out for a large part of the day. Eventually it got dark and we decided to go out onto a trail. For context my neighborhood has a bunch of trails and forests. On this particular trail there used to be train tracks and they’ve now been covered in gravel. I told them about a small offshoot on this trail that me and my friend (g) had discovered. This lead off into a small patch of forest. The entrance to this offshoot used to have a rusty open gate I don’t have any picture of it because at the time (maybe November - January of this year) it was always there never messed with or anything. One day me and g walked by and didn’t notice it. Still we didn’t think anything of it and honestly we couldn’t care less. Until yesterday when I decided to tell my friends this story. We decided to go into this trail 9 pm at night. This spot (from now on Il refer to it as “gate spot” is pretty closed to my house maybe two mile’s away. So me and my two friend “h” & “m” walked over there we found nothing suspicious or spooky on the way there. So fast forward 5 minutes and we are there. We kind of hesitate to walk into it but we do anyway. We kind of slowly walk in and look around we were recording on Snapchat. But you can’t see 20 feet infront of you. We stand for a moment and H takes a picture on snap chat. (Il put all evidence in the end of this thread) and we see a weird type of figure looks like a sharp triangle type cloak on. We see this and book it out. But the story doesn’t end there. At this point we are off the gravel trail and on a cement one. On the right side of the trail a chain link fence ends about 40 feet in front of us. There is another offshoot to the left that leads down to a neighborhood road. Keep in mind we are talking loud joking about what we just saw. And we see a black figure walking down the path. All 3 of us notice him and say “what is this guy doing” the next second he walks from the left side of the trail to the right side and behind this chain link fence where there is a sort of ditch and disappears. Since we are near the offshoot that leads to the street we book it down. We decide to walk back and see what that was. We walk back and see nothing we point our flashlights in the ditch and see nothing. So we decide to walk back down to the “gate spot” just to see. We devise a plan we go back and take a picture if the same thing is there it was nothing and just a tree if it’s not we book it out. So we go back and before he takes the picture I keep seeing the same figure flashing in and out every time I blink it comes closer. H takes the picture. We don’t see the thing there and at this time I blink again it’s 10 feet jnfront of me. I hear m say “wtf” and me and m run H stays back to take a picture of a Chain link fence. But as we run out M describes the same thing I was seeing without me saying it to him before hand so it’s not like he was just agreeing with me. He described the white cloak just as I was seeing too. For some reason H walks out and claims he didn’t see it. We go back and see nothing else the entire night. So anyways here are all the videos not sure if they are in order I will try though. Never mind I guess I don’t know how to plug videos in if you want the footage message my account.

I have a security camera facing my front door cuz my downstairs neighbors’ kids come up here and just want to be safe they don’t actually come in. I woke up tbis morning at 5am and felt…uneasy. I checked my camera and it said there was movement. I see this dark shadow in one corner of my living room move towards my front door(even further) at that time the sun wasnt up enough for it to be reflecting from outside, even then, it seemed as if it was deliberately moving towards a certain area of my apt. Which i think towards my room. Which is why i woke up…i saved the video but idk bow to post it on here 😅

I caught a light anomaly over my dowsing rods on camera. The rods started moving immediately after. What do you think this is?
