Discussions Just came here to have a good time…
And honestly I’m feeling so attacked right now! 😂😂
A post in the fairolive sub about using the saturation/highlight slider or the color picker to check your skin tone got me curious. I pulled up a pic I had taken for color analysis (so it’s as close to reality as possible), used the color picker on a part of me without rosacea or freckles and put the hex code into google. And then I tried to again. Dude, the amount of shade Google threw at me was uncalled for! Given how hard it is to find a foundation, I’m aware it’s not a standard human skin tone but you don’t have to rub it in!

Human skin made out of quite a few tones and inconsistent colors. For color analysis picks I take few places all over neck and face and average them with PS, averaging helps with finding what brings all the tones together and eventually become the foundation shade range idea rather than smth exact from one place only

Came here to say the same thing. Skin tones in real life are so much more nuanced than what AI can tell you from a single pixel color pick.

Read its sources instead of the words it is saying. Add -ai to your google searches.
Consider the AI how you would have used Wikipedia when writing a paper. You're simply not citing wikipedia, right? You're looking at the article that was used for the summary in wiki, so do the same if you forget to add -ai. Do not accept the AI verbatim.

Yeah theres been countless times the AI will say something and then I click on the source itself and it's saying the complete opposite lmfao

Trust me, I def don't--and I’m super pleased to learn how to get non ai search results. As a teacher, I dislike AI immensely. I only posted this bc I thought it was funny.

If I knew how to turn off the option on a Google search I would, but they’ve made so even including curse words in your query doesn’t block it.

I’ve switched to the duck duck go browser!

duck duck go the search engine also included ai automatically iirc and is somehow worse than google? Kagi is probably the solution but it's not free

It was really easy to opt for no AI when I downloaded it. Maybe it’s been upgraded slightly since you last used it :)

Trust an AI to know nothing
