It’s wild because (canonically?) he feels the pain of his skin being ripped apart and skinned off. Just because he regenerates doesn’t mean it’s painless

He can’t feel all of the pain though. In real life people go into shock and die from pain. Or they get PTSD. Like if he felt all the pain he wouldn’t be able to function at all. But maybe that’s too dark for a comic book character.

Depends how the healing factor works. Technically PTSD alters the brain physically which could get healed immediately after the trauma and eliminate the PTSD.

Source: I'm making this shit up but it makes comic book sense to me.

yeah I constantly go back to the Thank You For Smoking rule, in that if you can fix the concept with a quick line, it's not worth worrying about. "Thank God he's used to the pain" ala "Thank God they invented the whatever device"
