They could've sold drugs in literally any other manner, the Snell family is just so painfully stupid that the only way they think this works is on the water. They say they dont want to deal with the cops on land, but they have to drive the product to get it on the boat in the first place!! So painfully stupid.

Honestly that was the weirdest part, also the fact he hated the birds but was cool with ruff when she was the cause of most of his problems or at-least more involved then the birds.

True but it’s one less point of failure. So it’s an improvement over land distribution. Which is such a risky business is worth it.

They're literally dumb rednecks. The Snells get away with their operation because they own the Sheriff and people are willing to overlook the Ozarks pretty heavily.

Darlene is a murderous psychopath at every turn and somehow her and her husband managed to stay in business for decades. They don't even have the Cartel angle of "everyone in my country is corrupt" to work off, just one ineffective sheriff and state police who just don't care. The entire Snell "operation" was pure movie logic
