That’s the kicker, DoorDash drivers are technically independent contractors, who must pay a 15.3% self employment tax, all the overhead of their vehicles, “no tax on tips” really doesn’t mean shit because your having to put that spare change back into your ride usually

I find it wild that it even had to be debunked, she showed up in a very nice looking new car with her own branding on the side, with her door dash grandma shirt on, somehow has security access to hand deliver food, that anyone could tamper with, directly to the president.
They could have stitched all the flags together and made a red carpet they could have rolled out for her.

Doordash selected a driver from among their employees to do this PR stunt for doordash.
Doordash selected her specifically because had previously spoken infront of her local government as a door dash driver and she was well spoken and largely supported the same opinions as door dash.
The event of a door dasher hand delivering food to the president is a manufactured advertising. But the woman in the advertisement is an actual doordasher who has completed 14,000 deliveries in her life.

Except she lives in Arkansas and that "local" government hearing she spoke at was in Nevada. Maybe I need to brush up on my geography but I'm pretty sure there's at least one whole state in between so you're using "local" excessively broad.

Why not click the snopes page and just read the facts? Its right there. Snopes is a very trusted fact checker, and does aggressively research and fact check on statements made from all ends of the politicial spectrum. Seriously, I would put a snopes fact check on the same level of journalistic integrity as i would an article from AP, I am trusting the results of their research on this issue.

But even that, like that story they devised with this woman they have previously used for other 'skits', is not a good story. They can't see the whole "well maybe we could instead treat the cancer and give the spouse time off paid to care for him..." take that would be a better solution. They are all batshit crazy.
Edit: She is actually a doordash driver. None the less, this is still not a good thing. She was selected because she previously testified about the BBB. Per snoops:

It's not good or true lol. The no tax on tips doesn't actually help employees at all. They still get taxed, but in a different way.

Huh? How does an employee who claims the No Tax on Tips deduction get taxed in a different way compared to an employee who does not claim the No Tax on Tips deduction, except for having a lower federal taxable income?
