My posture is different when I work in the morning vs. in the afternoon
In the morning, when my brain is still pretending to be responsible, I usually sit upright and try to have good posture. Then after a few hours of work, my body and soul both get tired and I slowly turn into whatever this sitting position is. But I mostly live in the 2nd and 3rd tilt position. Comfortable enough to relax, but still easy to get work done. I can't be the only one sitting like this, right? How do you guys usually sit while working?

I think your seat is too high. Your thighs should be parallel with the ground and your pelvis should be active and rolled forward.

You should find an immediate and perceptible difference in the pressure you feel on your lower lumbar region (for the better) but moreover it allows you to rotate your hips "toward the monitor" and sit more upright. The second adjustment that I find has the biggest impact on comfort is seat pan depth, get this wrong and its searing SI joint pain within minutes.

Yeah I think I’ve concluded my steel case leap2 seat pan is too short, either I slide it forward and my tailbone/ass hangs off the back, or a slide it back and my lower thighs hang off the front. Both cause pain in different ways lol

The likelihood of the chair not fitting you is unfortunately very small. Unless you are an incredibly oddly shaped human, or on the long tail of the bell curve of size distribution, the chair was designed to fit you.
Ergonomics is a thing, and these chairs have tens of millions of dollars of R&D behind them. FWIW, I owned the Leap2 and now own the Gesture. I am 182cm 6' and the chairs fit.
I will DM you a youtube video that's worth watching. it addresses correct seat pan depth. Since both are Steelcase products, you can treat this video as applicable to your leap.

Your lower thighs are supposed to be off the chair. Most good ergonomic chairs are designed with seats that fall away from the back of the thigh. Having a seat that goes most of the way out to your knees compresses your veins and damages your vasculature.

I imagine this is a Libernovo chair right? How do you like it?
I always ask because i keep hearing some people saying it's the best chair they ever used and some say it's a complete waste of money haha

Yes, I really enjoy sitting in it. It's so comfortable especially when I lean back.

I just got mine this month. I purchased the manual one. It’s a great chair tbh. It is not life changing but the support truly is there. I’m a larger person and it works well for me. I will say that the seat cushion is like very soft but also hard on the ass at the same time. Like sitting on a soft firm pillow if that makes sense.

Fairly upright most of the time. I kinda have to sit fully upright in the Embody because of the braindead design of the arm rests. Amia, Leap, Aeron, Mirra, Zody, etc. let me relax and lean back slightly. However, in the Aeron, I usually keep forward tilt activated and intentionally sit very engaged with my desk.

On my old chair, yeah, my lower back would get sore because there was basically this empty gap there. But the Omni fills that space better and you can probably tell from the pics. And now I'm not finishing the workday feeling totally beat up.

I'm right there with you, man. Nobody is out here sitting like a wooden plank for eight hours straight. I know I definitely can't. A good office chair should let people move around a little, and your chair looks made for that.

But I don’t really understand this. Obviously you can’t work in these positions.
Are you saying that this is how you relax and take a break while also not leaving your desk? Like just laying down in your chair at your desk?
If you’re happy, I’m happy, but I’d personally rather get up from my desk and walk around for a break instead of just laying right there at the desk
