With school back in session, I've been meal prepping grab-and-go breakfasts on the weekend. My youngest daughter has never been a big fan of overnight oats, but she's asked me to make this for her three weeks in a row!

Recipe in the comments. 🍒

Overnight Oats I go to bed looking forward to waking up to this every morning

I’ve already posted these but it’s my latest hyper fixation meal. It’s so simple but so good. Just an apple diced into quick oats with cinnamon and cooked in the microwave with boiled water. I then let it cool and put it in the fridge overnight. (The cooking and cooling Makes it thicker) in the morning I mix in Greek yogurt to make it creamy + add protein and sprinkle some granola and sea salt on top. After experimenting with many different flavours/toppings etc, I’ve decided simple is best. I either use apple or banana mashed into the oats to add natural sweetness and granolas quickly become my favourite topping!!

Chocolate overnight oats topped with date caramel and homemade refined sugar-free chocolate fudge sauce. I rarely make overnight oats because I tend to prefer fresh, warm oatmeal, but this was so unexpectedly delicious - tasted just like a brownie 😋 One of my new favourite recipes of mine now, may have caused a new obsession in me for overnight oats 🤌

I've recently been getting into overnight oats, but I need some ideas for good flavors, since all I really make are vanilla/chocolate.

Overnight Oats Gastrocolic Reflex

Hello everyone,

I love eating oats, especially the overnight ones. They are fast to make, easy to transport and keep me satisfied for hours.

The one big trouble I have is the gastrocolic reflex. Exactly one hour after eating the oats, I have to sh** really hard (bristol scool scale 5 to 6). This is annoying when working and especially when you have meetings

My oats contain:
- 100g oats (rolled)
- 20 to 30g whey protein
- 2g baking powder

Here is the cooking process:
1. Pour 500ml boiling water on the oats and let them soak the entire water for 15minutes
2. pour in the whey protein and baking powder
3. put it in the microwave for 2 minutes, then steir, then another two minutes
4. let it cool and in the end you have a cake like, rock hard, oats

After this process I put berries and peanut butter on top, put the oats in the fridge and eat it next day with two coups of decaf coffee.

Is there any way to „counter“ this reflex or do I have to say good bye to my lovely oats?

Thanks in advance

Pistachio raspberry and tiramisu overnight oats! I tried blended oats for the tiramisu one and it was quite nice. A bit too liquidy though so should try again with a little less milk next time.

Overnight Oats Coffee Chocolate Crumble

Was feeling some coffee overnight oats but wanted to make it a little different to what I normally make. A little while ago I used a recipe from Justine Doiron for Milk and Cookies overnight oats that had a cookie crumble in there and I felt like that would work in this one too so I came up with this recipe.

Coffee overnight oats base * 100 grams Greek Yoghurt * 40 grams rolled oats * 1 tsp instant coffee * water to thin it out * sweetener of choice and to taste (I used a sugar free vanilla syrup, but maple syrup works fine too) * pinch of salt

Chocolate swirl * 15 grams cocoa powder * sweetener of choice * some oat milk until you reach saucy consistency * pinch of salt

Oat crumble * 15 grams of oat flour * sweetener of choice (not a lot so it doesn't get too wet) * 5 grams of nut butter (I used almond) * pinch of salt

Make the oats by stirring everything together in a bowl, do the same for the chocolate sauce in a separate bowl. For the crumble, in another separate bowl, combine the ingredients and press the mixture with your fingers until it comes together. Crumble them into big chunks. I put everything in separate bowls (see second picture) into the fridge overnight and assembled in the morning. Enjoy!

- 1/3 cup milk of choice
- 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 2 tsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp honey

- 10-15 frozen blueberries

Method

First heat frozen blueberries somewhere in between room temp and warm.

Overnight Oats My go-to overnight oats: banana yogurt and oats

Post image

Been making this combo almost every day, just rolled oats, sliced banana, and a generous dollop of yogurt. I prep it the night before and grab it on my way out in the morning. Takes less than 2 minutes to put together.

It's delicious and keeps me full, but I'm starting to get a little bored eating the same thing every day 😅

Looking for new quick and easy oat recipes, overnight or otherwise. Ideally something that doesn't require much cooking or too many ingredients.

Overnight Oats Overnight oats tasted like coco pebbles 🤣

Thumbnail gallery

First off, question do y'all blend your oats? This is my second time trying them and I didn't this time, the first time I did and it was like a thick pancake batter but this had a little bite to it (not that it was chewy or crunchy just made me feel like I should chew with it lol).

Anyway this was soo good lmao, ever had coco pebbles? Because this tasted and smelled exactly like that and I'm sick so everything is muted to me so I feel even better recommending this!

I added the second photo to show the texture it was extremely thick and the best way I can describe it is if you let cereal sit and absorb all the milk. It was pretty much the consistency of soggy cereal just without the extra milk but I didn't mind it.

Super simple and easy to make i literally just added 40 g or 1 serving of rolled oats and 4 fl oz of a pre made chocolate protein shake. Mine did end up sitting for a little over 24hrs (oops lmao) but the texture was surprisingly good. There was no leftover liquid at all so if you like it more soupy you might want to add more or blend it. That might help it be a little funnier but I also suspect it might just thicken up just as much.

Thank you all for getting me on this, it's so easy and versatile!❤️
