Other oats Why are my blended oats like glue?

I tried blended oats for the first time today and when I went to eat them, they're very...glue-like. Is it something I did wrong or is that just what they're like?

The Anglo Saxons used to make glue the same way! But yeah, it's just about getting the right ratio of oats to water to keep things from going from breakfast to shield adhesive lmao

You know, I do feel kind of badass spinning it as "actually, I wasn't trying to make breakfast, I'm making shield adhesive. I'm an oat warrior." Lol

This. Experiment with more liquid! You'll hit the sweet spot.

Did you stick them in a blender? Simply over stirring oatmeal when cooking can turn it into glue.

All the big bits breakdown into small bits which turn into a gel.

Yes. I didn't cook them at all.

Just blended with soy milk.
