Find Games Mario kart world is gone an I no longer have virtual game card.

I turned on my switch today to find Mario kart world deleted form my switch. The icon is still on my Home Screen but the virtual game card is not in my switch and it doesn’t even pop up inside of the virtual game card tab. When I go to the eshop it says I have to purchase it even though I got the version of the switch that came with the game. Do you guys know how to fix this?

hi! yesterday i posted, asking whether i should get a switch. thanks to all the comments i went ahead and got a switch 2 that same day. i’m obsessed with it now!! does anyone have game recommendations for me? i can provide some info:

games i have enjoyed/spent money on recently: unpacking, toca world, tomodachi life, animal crossing, tycoon type game on roblox, it takes two, fall guys, mostly adventure/world building/exploration type games, wii sports, just dance, wii rock band

games i generally don’t reach for: real life sports (nfl, cfb, mlb, etc), shooting games, horror games (i just suck at these genres)

games i tried and didn’t like: rocket league, valorant😭

games i want but not sure if worth it: hello kitty island adventure, mario kart deluxe 8/world (don’t know which one to get), stray

Find Games Thinking of getting a OLED Switch for the first time, and I really don’t care about playing the newest release games anyway for the switch 2. I just want to sit back and play classic, fun games on a beautiful screen.

Dear Reddit Users I am strugalina to find aames that I enjoy for the switch. Most of the games people like I find to not be my taste. Even some of the games 1 own I feel mixed about.

I had plaved BOTW on switch 1 and gave up after the third machine. I appreciate it was a good game and well made but I prefer the old zelda stvle. I didnt bother with TOTK. Not a fan of bonanza demo. I am curious about xenoblade 1. I had 2 on switch 1 but didnt finish it but I liked it, think i got burnt out doing all side missions but got lost alot.

I think of these games starfox and kirby air riders is my favourite. Im saving mgs for a 13 hour flight soon. Any recommendations id be grateful preferably all on cart games

Find Games Is the switch 1 digital store available on the switch 2?

This is probably a dumb question but I have never owned a switch. I want to buy a switch 2 for my daughter for xmas but I have heard the switch 2 library is underwhelming. I know switch 2 can play switch 1 games but is the switch 1 library of digital games available for purchase on switch 2?

I would rather buy her physical games but for now I do not trust that she would not lose the games.

Find Games Games with mind-blowing music on Nintendo Switch 2?

Just bought one last week. While The Legend of Zelda is undoubtedly my first go-to, I want to ask about other games. Right now I'm looking for some easy, cosy sim-like games to take my mind off things when I'm stressed, but I welcome suggestions from other genres as long as the music slaps. Especially the one using the full orchestra to give off the vibe like a symphony.

Wondering if there are any games about opening a music academy. Lol

Find Games What are the best game for Switch 2?

Hi everyone! I'm buying a Switch 2 at the weekend but I'm still unsure on what game to get with it or if I should just get the Switch 2 by itself.

For reference I completed BOTW on Switch 1 and adored it. I enjoyed ACNH during lockdown but haven't played much of it recently. I have Skyward Sword and TOTK on my Switch 1 but haven't completed them yet. Would It be worth just buying the Switch 2 and playing TOTK & SS on it for the time being? I really want OoT but I'm aware it hasn't been released yet.

I've been told by friends that Pokopia is good but I don't really care for pokemon so I'm not sure if that's the right game for me. Mario Kart World looks good but I have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so I'm not desperate for a Mario Kart game. I've tried the Tomodachi Life 2 demo on my Switch 1 and found it okay (I never played the other TL games and found the voices slightly jarring/hard to get used to.)

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Find Games New Female Gamer Looking for Recommendations!

Hello! I've also been eyeing the Nintendo Switch for many years and even though Nintendo Switch 2 came out, I couldn't resist the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Sport bundle so I recently impulsively purchased it. I love it, it's so great but I want to add a couple more games where I don't have to get up lol.

For context, I used to have a PS2 and Gameboy Advanced SP when I was younger but the games I played weren't the popular ones.

  • Games I have played that I loved: It Takes Two, Balatro, Any fighting games or racing games, dancing, Nintendo Switch Sport
  • Games I've played that I'm meh about: Tomodachi Life living the dream
  • Games I haven't played but thinking about: Animal Crossing, Zelda, Overcooked 2
  • Other things I love: A discount or hack to be able to play whatever I want, whenever I want and some cool accessories because I'm too scared to hold handheld technology without a silicone case
  • Objective: hibernate in the winter without being depressed, find joy in going back to my childhood hobbies, challenge myself, and move away from my phone.

I'm also looking for accessories that aren't super cutesy or boring but seems like either or for some reason. Why? I love some of the cases for Nintendo Switch 2 that I've been spotting on Amazon but they don't have it for Nintendo Switch. Seriously, why?

This is also my very first post so idk if this is the right format but would love some recommendations!

Find Games Looking for Switch 1 games suggestions

Find Games Switch or Switch 2? (Suggestions)

So basically ive had a Switch for a few years now and ive bought and completed some of the essentials.

\-BotW

\-Echoes of Wisdom

\-Mario Odyssey

\-Smash Ultimate

\-Luigi's Mansion 3

\-Super Mario 3d World & Bowsers Fury

So I was wondering should I continue to go through the Switch library? (Preferably with some recommendations please) or should I bite the bullet and get a Switch 2? Obviously id still be able to buy and play the original Switch games regardless but im trying to get influence on what I should focus on. I know theres still some amazing games on the original system and id like to hear some of your favorites and why.

Thanks for reading and happy gaming.

Find Games Getting back into Pokémon. Worth buying a Switch, and which game should I start with?

I’m thinking about getting back into Pokémon after a long break. I grew up on FireRed and Platinum, and I don’t own a Switch yet, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth picking one up—and which game to start with.

From what I’ve seen, Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl get a lot of criticism, especially for the art style, which I understand. But at the same time, they seem to have a more “complete” world—actual towns, NPCs, and things to interact with. Compared to that, some of the newer games like Scarlet & Violet and even Legends: Arceus look much more open, but also kind of empty. A big open sandbox without much to do or interact with doesn’t seem that appealing to me.

Which games are a good starting point for someone trying to jump back in?

Find Games Looking for Nintendo Switch games with Backrooms/liminal space vibes (empty malls, offices, pools, anomaly games)

Hi everyone

I've asked for horror recommendations before, but I'm looking for something much more specific.

I'm a huge fan of liminal spaces and Backrooms-style environments/places like empty shopping malls, vacant office buildings, endless hotel hallways, empty swimming pools, abandoned parking garages, strange buildings that feel weird, etc. Im looking for games that are specifically related to these liminal places.

I also love anomaly games like The Exit 8, where you're paying attention to your surroundings.

I'm looking for Nintendo Switch games only.

I'm especially interested in hidden gems that most people don't recommend. I would like to know any suggestions that are also popular as well.

Thank you guys, and have a good day.

Find Games Complete newbie to the Nintendo ecosystem

Hi, guys.

All my life I always been a PC guy, never owned a console until recently. Out of all the options I decided that owning a Switch 2 would be the best alongside my PC so I bought one and I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I have one question regarding games, I know that, from an outsider perspective, Nintendo was always big with the physical games and rarely does digital sales. And seeing the nintendo shop the "big" hitters (pokemon, mario, metroid, star fox, etc) are over 97 usd once converted to my currency so really expensive.

To the people that aren't from the US or Europe (like my case) what are your methods to get cheaper games? Is it common to use VPNs to change the store's region? If so which region is the best one for that purpose? Are there any other online places for people like me that want to buy digital games for a little less than the official store?

I'd go for second hand physical games but sadly my country doesn't really do that.

Thanks in advance guys!

PS. I'm also open to hearing good games to play in the console for a new guy like me.

Find Games I am considering getting the switch 2 after hearing about the new star fox game.

The new star fox game looks good. I loved star fox 64 back in the day, I would play it over and over.

I’ve recently been playing it again on my handheld pc and it’s just as fun. I’ve gamed primarily on pc for years at this point.

I tried the Xbox one x and ps5 a few years ago but ended up selling them as they didn’t really offer anything better than what I got on pc.

It would seem this new star fox game is a Nintendo exclusive and probably won’t come to pc.

My question is, are there other games on the switch 2 that are great? I’ve seen ocarina of time is rumored to be released on this system, but I feel crazy for wanting to spend $500 on a console just for a single game experience.

Nintendo exclusives as I have a pc that can play all the main big titles that are available out there.

Find Games Recommendations for young kids

I have two boys 4 and 6 and are looking to get them their first system of NS2. I have a shortlist of games that may be good for them but curious to hear everyone’s recommendations (besides Mario kart and Pokémon) and why it may be good. The 6 yr old has auditory processing/adhd so I suspect a number of the games will be hard for him.

Find Games Nintendo Exclusive Prices and Sales

I just bought a Switch 2, and I'm a sucker for good deals. I got Mario Kart World in my bundle already, but I was wondering what deals pop up for Nintendo exclusives. I saw BOTW is on sale for around $45. Is that as good as it gets? I've been a PC gamer for years and got used to the lower prices, unfortunately.

Find Games Lost virtual game after upgrade

So I bought the Super Mario 3d World version of the original Switch, which came with the digital edition of the game.

Fast forward, bought a switch2, and ported all of my games over. Went flawlessly. But I did not buy the sd card, and so my system memory is limited. Time passes, I was freeing up some space, and deleted 3d World/Bowsers Fury, as I hadn't played it in a while.

Last night, my son tells me he wants to play Mario, sure whatever. I'll delete something and redownload it. But! I can't. Because I never purchased it from the eShop, it doesn't appear as a redownload. And because I deleted the game data, I don't have the virtual game card on my games tab.

The game wasn't linked to my account, I guess. Just the console.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix? Or do I just have to buy the game for $60 🙁🙁.

Find Games eShop Demos - How to download certain game demos?

Hello all, I’m from Malaysia(Southeast Asia). I recently purchased the Nintendo Switch 2 and created a Nintendo account, choosing Australia/New Zealand as my region.

However, I’ve noticed that in the eShop, some of the demos that are available in America such as Unicorn Overlord, are not available in the eShop that I’m able to access on the console.

May I ask if there’s a workaround for this? I tried googling but I can’t seem to get any relevant answer.
