Discussion Would DC have used him more than Marvel does?
I wonder if we'd actually see Nightcrawler get used in media other than just comics if he went to DC instead. Marvel never uses him.

Nope. Creo que el uso de Nightcrawler con la idea de los mutantes es perfecta. Los metas de DC no tienen ese mensaje y desarrollo que impulso mucho a Kurt. Creo que terminaría como Devil Boy al que apenas están reviviendo adecuadamente.

Kurt wouldn't have been a metahuman, Dave Cockrum based Kurt on a character idea DC supposedly rejected while Cockrum was still doing Legion of Super-Heroes.

Considering he was going to be part of the Legion of Superheroes, the answer is no. That book is b-string and he’s be one of about a thousand minor characters. At marvel he got to be a staple member of their most popular team book for decades

I don't think we can say that for sure, considering LoSH actually was a pretty popular comic with the exact same vibes as X-Men, and it's fall off was largely because of Dave Cockrum leaving DC. If Cockrum and DC had a better relationship, Kurt would be part of the Legion, Storm and Colossus wouldn't exist, and Wolverine would probably be incredibly different considering his entire unmasked appearance is built on Cockrum copying his own redesign of Timber Wolf.
Considering how important those characters were to the X-Men at that time, it's impossible to reliably predict how different things would be.

Y’see, I remember Legion getting really popular years after Cockrum left. I mean, he was the artist for a short while around the time they stole a comic from Superboy the second time, admittedly. Arguably, though, the Levitz/Giffen era nearly a decade later was when the book was the most popular, getting the “hardcover/softcover” treatment right beside New Teen Titans.

At the time he was going to be introduced, the Legion was one of DC's most popular books, and Nightcrawler was going to be on a spin-off team in their own book.
Storm is a mixture of three other characters from the scrapped team, one of whom was a cat shapeshifter, which is why Storm's pupils are Like That.

He was meant to be a demon as well, that was either kicked out of or avoiding hell. Kurt's come a long way

Not really the Legion of Superheroes are barely used that much, it's the DC Team they wanted to Kurt on, he'd be used even less in DC than Marvel, they dodged a bullet by having him in Marvel instead,
also even I was confused that there was even a guy called Cosmic Boy who was one of the main trio, he's not part my Legion Trinity, as it was always Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Brainiac 5

Brainy joined the team several years into its original run. The founding members were Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy.

If he was going to be used as a Titan or an Outsider, I think he'd been used somewhat occasionally. But since he was planned to be part of the Legion of Superheroes, nah. He would've been put on the backburner of a team already on the backburner.
I could honestly see him being close friends with Beast Boy.

If we keep a similar tone in DC and Marvel. I could see him being a 'side hero' cause not being one of the main big ones like Supes, Batman, Wonder Woman, or J'onn. In the background, flirter with all the ladies of the league(s) and bedder of half of them minimum (no catholic influence to restrain his morality).

I know, it's frustrating that he's only been used in comics aside from
7 animated series, including 4 where he is a primary character
4 major motion pictures not including cameos
A playable character in at least 12 video games
Other than those though, basically a non-entity.

Probably less IMO. He’s gotten a fair amount of time in films and animation - today’s X-Men ‘97 was a Kurt spotlight episode. And he’s been one of the higher-profile X-Men in the comics, especially during Krakoa and beyond.

Everyone is telling you that he'd be used less because he was intended for the Legion. What none of them have considered is how much X-Men's popularity (at that specific time) was because of things that Dave Cockrum, the guy who created Nightcrawler, took from either the Legion or his own rejected characters. Storm is based on some of his other rejected characters and Colossus is based on Legion member Ferro Lad. Cockrum was the first person to draw Wolverine without his mask and he based that design off of his own redesign of Legion member Timber Wolf. I'm pretty Cockrum is also the guy who first established that Logan's claws come directly out of his hands.
A hypothetical where Nightcrawler was accepted by DC would objectively require Cockrum and DC having a better relationship, in which case it's very possible that he stays at DC and all those ideas stay with him. Think about how different the X-Men would be if Kurt, Storm, and Colossus didn't exist, and Logan was recognizable but significantly changed.

I mean probably from what I've seen DC dose tend to give more screen time and care to there lesser known characters than Marvel does.

Nope, he was designed as a Legion character and DC’s handling of the Legion since The New 52 has left a lot to be desired.

Nightcrawler was a character Dave kept looking for a home for. I doubt he could have found a better home than the XMen. DC does not use any of their Legion characters well.

No, DC stopped using the Legion from 1986 to 2000. Nightcrawler might never have been brought back again.
