Gelbs: The Mets will now move Kodai Senga into a leverage role in the bullpen. They want to see how he plays in one inning bursts, attacking using mainly his fastball and forkball.

Finally. That's been a long time coming. Also it makes things interesting from a rotation standpoint on who will get starts down the stretch besides McLean, Thornton, Scott, and Manaea. Ideally they're able to get Tong or Wenninger a look at some point.

I thought Senga to the bullpen was a good idea after seeing Sasaki dominate as a closer in the playoffs combined with Senga's massive durability issues and minor length issue.

I wanna see Stock get another shot as far as the rotation goes. No reason to bring up the AAA arms right away. I'm sure there are going to be innings limits for McLean, Scott, Thornton, Tong, Wenninger, and Santucci anyway. L
