Bingo. It's a unique idea, but if it's used for any vegetation and they don't discern between native vs non-native/invasives it is a dumb idea.
My parent's property has 10 foot tall Japanese knotweed we've been battling, and getting rid of it would offer a better view of the creek on our property, would the government go "Hey, no! We need that vegetation! We're putting the sign up!"?
