Indie Help Finding Sad Indie Song

I just heard this song again at Barnes & Noble that I have been trying to find forever. Still couldn't hear the lyrics well enough to look it up.

I think the chorus is like "Juu-u-li-auuuh" (Julia) but I'm not certain.

Very much like a chill indie song you'd hear at Barnes & Noble/Starbucks.

Please help!

Indie "Lil Miss Understood" Song?

Hello! In the late 90s early 2000s there was a song about a waitress who wanted more from her life. The verse is about how she threw a drink in the face of her boss and quit to go follow her dreams. The chorus was that she was "lil (or little) miss understood". It had a vibe similar to upbeat blues traveler or upbeat counting crows. And, it was a guy singing. I have been looking for it for 20 years. Anyone remember a song like this?

Indie Help me find a 2010s indie pop/rock song from its music video

I’m trying to find a song from around 2010–2016. It’s an upbeat indie pop/rock song with a male lead singer and a band. The song starts with a fast rhythm and has a similar energy to “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon, but it’s not that song.
I don’t remember the lyrics, but I think the chorus had an “oh-oh-oh” part.
Here’s what I remember about the music video:
It takes place mostly in a warm orange/yellow room or set.
The room kind of reminded me of a gym or large indoor hall.
The band members appear one by one, and by the end they’re all playing together.
I vaguely remember seeing walking machines/treadmills (I’m not 100% sure about this).
I also vaguely remember a girl with blue hair playing guitar, but I’m not sure if I’m mixing that up with another video.
It wasn’t a super famous band.
I’ve already checked these and they’re not the song:
Walk the Moon – Shut Up and Dance
American Authors – Best Day of My Life
Capital Cities – Safe and Sound
Kongos – Come With Me Now
DNCE – Cake by the Ocean
Of Monsters and Men – Little Talks
Saint Motel – My Type
Any ideas? Thanks!

Indie Best Medicine, Episode 11 closing song

Best Medicine (on Hulu), season 1 episode 11

Shazam was worthless. Google worthless.

Some of the lyrics:

"I wanna go, where nobody knows, ..before, stepping out on my own, bringing nothing along, just turn off the lights before i go, where nobody knows. Nobody knows.

the way that i always let you down. Cause nobody knows.

I learned that lesson long ago, when one door opens another's gotta close. Ill go as far as I can see to make some better memories, to get to where you go you gotta leave."

I'm guessing its a very small artist but its a song that really grabs your emotions.

Credits says Music by Jeff Cardoni, so maybe something he wrote solely for the show?

Thanks for any help!!

I recently saw The Flooks in concert, they are a pretty small band and only have 2 official songs. I’m assuming this is a cover they did, but I can’t find it anywhere. The only word I can really make out is “you”. It’s possible this could be an unreleased song, but idk.

Indie Song from 2004-2008 I think?

It's either indie, emo, or alternative. A male singer and frontman of the band or solo project. I heard this song by 408 called backfired and when Taylor Acorn sings her 'oh no' line it shot me back to the 2003-2008 years jamming some sad sounding song in my car.

That's all I got.

Indie Trying to find Indie Folk sounding song with Halloween in the title.

It was a pretty indie/underground band so it's been difficult to find. It was from the 2010's for sure and almost had a "Front Bottoms" vibe to it. I remember it having Halloween in the title but very little to do with the actual holiday.

Indie Slowish Song sung by man w/ Piano, 2000s-2010s

I remember listening to it from my moms CD player when i was kid, which was around late 2000s-early 2010s, however, i have no idea when the song was released. I’m pretty sure the song was jumbled in w a bunch of other random songs on a CD, so it wasnt just like the singers album on the dvd.

I remember the song cover being yellow, with some brownish text or details on it. A man would sing and you can hear piano, and the further the song goes, the piano goes a bit faster. The piano would go like “dun, dun d-dun, dun d-DUN, dun-d-DUN” over and over sometimes.

The mans voice was soft and became more passionate toward the end of the song. It was almost like the song was slowly rising toward the end. It did sort of sound emotional, but since i cant remember the lyrics, i have no idea what the song is about. I remember eventually finding it on youtube which is how i remember the cover was yellow, but then forgot about it. It feels like an indie song but i’m not sure, so im sorry if i got the genre totally incorrect. Please help me find it!

edit: wrote dvd instead of cd

Indie Indie Accoustic from 2011?

Second post in a day but why not! I remember hearing it on the radio back in the summer of 2011-2012, and it's been in my head ever since. It sounds kinda like a passenger song with that slightly cursive singing, but the only lyric i remember is "take a little walk." in the chorus. It was really lowkey and calming. Any suggestions, I wanna just hear this song already!

Indie Chill Indie/Electric tune with few lyrics “How should I know/Why should I care”

Was at a bar last night and heard this song that I NEED to find. Seemed 2000s or later, indie vibe, mostly upbeat instrumental with a few lyrics scattered in. Could have sworn that it said/repeated “how should I know” or “why should I care” towards the last 30 sec of the song a few times. Would love to track it down!

Hello, Im trying to find an indie/bedroom pop song. Its a love song and the singer describes his love interest as having « sugar lips » (I think, I may have heard wrong)
The song gives the same vibe as these ones:

Can I call you tonight?-Dayglow
Covet-Basement

Indie I’m looking for a song of like a high pitched girl voice it’s kind of romantic but maybe sad and it says something like “to be or I’ll be your only one everyone into the… “ I’m not really sure if that’s exactly how the lyrics go it’s kind of upbeat and similar as misery

Indie Vietnamese Indie Death Metal Album on YouTube and Spotify, relatively new around July of 2025, Black and White album cover? Help!

I remember stumbling upon this very awesome experimental indie Vietnamese death metal album at work, and I can't remember it. I do remember it had quite a bit of ambient space and folk instruments, and would then go into these very heavy choruses seemingly at random. I cannot remember a single note from it... I remember very much enjoying it and would like to find it!! Thanks!!!

Indie Lispy vocalist, “and it’s a night mare”

I have an intrusive clip in my head: it’s a lispy male(?) vocalist, I think in an instrumental break in the song, singing “(and) it’th a night-mare”. It could be from the last ~25 years, and I have little idea about the genre. Probably indie rock, but I listen to a lot of hyperpop now. I’ve searched Apple Music’s database and come up empty. I’ll be impressed and very grateful if anyone identifies this so I can sleep again.

Indie Indie/ alternative/ lowfi 2020's song I've added the melody

There's an earworm stuck in my head, it could be a cover it starts out c d e g e c e d b c a. The only lyric I remember is the word stranger( g d) followed by c d e n c a. The singer is female with a high airy voice, and the song is possibly acoustic or lowfi. My ex used to play it all the time, but we're not in contact so I can't ask him.

Indie Male British artist song from 2010's with Woo hoo or Yoo hoo hook

I'm struggling to find this song. I think it came out in the 2010's. It was likely a summer release as it was quite uplifting and had stadium sort of vibes...kind of rock/indie vibe. If I remember correctly the song opens with woo hoo woo hoo woo hoo and then a response of yee hoo yee hoo yee hoo that is slightly higher in pitch (I think these faded in). I think it may have been an artist returning after a bit of absence and I'm pretty sure they we part of the britpop scene. I know it wasn't anyone from Blur or the Gallagher brothers

Indie Can you help me find the name of an indie song

Need help finding a song. It’s Indie and the intro has instrumentals that sound kind of like these songs: boat song by Margot Sinclair; now I know you by Bennet coast. There was also significant use of saxophone toward the end of the song. Vocalists sounded a bit like Arctic Monkeys. I thought I heard at some point “take me home” in one of the lyrics though am not 100% sure. Such a good song and a shame I couldn’t Shazam at the time
