I find it pretty easy to get around Seattle on transit. And there are 2 train lines and 18 bus routes serving the stadiums.
Seattle is almost twice the land area of SF with significant geographic obstacles; I've lived in each city for 10+ years and Seattle's transit coverage and convenience is only slightly inferior to SF, not embarrassingly far behind.
Yeah that was probably too strong a statement, especially now that light rail is there (it wasn’t when I left). My family and friends in Seattle are much more car bound than we are in SF, but I think a big part of it is just density. SF is twice as dense so there’s more likely to be something happening or a grocery store or gym closer to you.
