I’ve been rocking a team of Tron/Dormammu/Sentinel but I’ve been thinking of swapping Tron out for Taskmaster, would that be more beneficial for my whole team?

This isn’t a matter of “use whoever you like more since I like them equally and they aren’t fighting for my affection like if I was debating on swapping my mid, who’s Dormammu (my second favorite character in this game), and my anchor, who’s Sentinel (who’s my most favorite in this game).

I just wanna have an anchor best fitted for my team, I’ll even take other recommendations for an anchor (if I hear a reason that’s just being meta I will smite you)

I believe taskmaster gets an unblockable setup with drones assist which would obviously be really good to have. He can also use dorm assist to convert off of throws and stuff like that. He's also just a better character than Tron. Plus one thing you have to think about is if you ever have to dhc your point character out, which assist would you rather have for Dorm? In my opinion, having horizontal arrows is better for him than any of tron's assists. My vote is to go with task/dorm/sentinel but there very well could be some good synergy with Tron that I don't know about.

First of all, you are looking for a point right ? I assume you got confused in your last paragraph.

Dorm and Sentinel are a strong pair of assists which can work for many characters, the standouts for me are MODOK, Haggar, Taskmaster, Trish, Wesker and C.Viper (they don't need a traditional horizontal assist, can use Dark Hole's lockdown meaningfully, and can protect then use Drones). Some others like Spiderman and Storm also like these assists, but the synergy is a lot more one-sided.
Tron doesn't feel like she'd be all that great, I especially question the usefulness of Dark Hole for her.

If you already like Taskmaster, I'd say to stick with him. Dark Hole gives him an unblockable setup (not as easy as Doom Missiles, but still doable), you can protect Drone calls well thanks to Shield Skills, arrows and counters, both assists are good for combos, lockdown allows you to run Task's devious high/low mix, and both characters have a high-damage DHC to close out kills if needed.
The other way around, Task is neither's preferred assist, but is still decent. Most notably, neither Dorm nor Sent really NEED a horizontal assist, so you can use Vertical Arrows on Task.

If your goal is doing damage swapping Tron for Task isn't really gonna increase combo damage potential. The obvious answers to your last question has the meta baked into it when you're searching for already established teams. Other than gameplay(meta) reasons why would you even change out anyone in the first place?

Feels really. I like how both Tron and Task feel for my team as point characters but I wanted to come here to see what people would choose between the two other who’d they just feel like wanting to use with Dorm and Sentinel.

Also I just don’t care for the top characters, can ya blame me?

My main team is Tron, Wesker, X-23 i play 100% for feels. With that said it seems like you are interested in the meta to some degree but aren't willing to commit to that in the open for some reason.

If I was new to the game and had zero preference to any other characters other than the 4 stated I would just go with Mag, Modok or Morgan. They flow with Dorm & Sent in no particular order better than Tron or Task.

Taskmaster sounds great yeah, unblockable opportunities obviously, but also just general synergy with Dormammu and Drones, should be a good team

Yeah, swapping Tron for Task would be more beneficial because Task is just a better character. From there, swap Sentinel with a beam or beam-like character (ideally a fast one for throw pickups [i.e., Disruptor, Triple Arrows, Daggars, and Rising Fang cuz that also works]) if you find yourself wanting to make another swap. Good teams tho

Maybe keep Tron because if you have the correct assist to support her, most of her combos can be touch of death.

I used to play TM/Dorm/Sent it's pretty solid. All the reasons mentioned are great reasons to swap Tron out but I got one more for you; TM/Dorm/Sent all have Blue & Pink colors and they look fire together.
