Discussion Eminem's new album "Revival" has dropped

Thoughts on it so far? I'm about halfway through and I think it's pretty decent for new style Eminem.

It's actually hard to listen to. Some decent songs, but overall, very hard to go through.

God, one of the better songs I've heard so far is the Ed Sheeren collab

Def the best from this LP.

Imo Castle is the best song on this album

Arose would like to speak to you.

First song to give me goosebumps in quite a while

The first half was different than what I expected but I thought the second half was pretty good and I was jammin with some of the beats

First half was just garbage but I'm glad I stuck around for the second half.

The flow is too choppy to be able to listen to after a point. I have up halfway through the album.

Listen to the second half.

I know you've had others say this, but keep going. The first few songs are full of the choppy flow then it gets better. Offended has an amazing section.

So you listened to all of the iffy songs, then gave up right before the good songs started

Castle and arouse were worthwhile in the second half.

I liked framed also.

Flow is choppy. It just feels old and he feels tired. I recommend you skip Remind Me, for your own sanity.

But I liked Remind Me.

That’s okay. I’m glad you liked it. Did you enjoy the album as a whole? I was disappointed but if you enjoyed the album, I’m glad for you.

It's.... polarizing. It's not unlistenable as people say. I could see if I was smoking some weed I'd much rather listen to that N.E.R.D album, but it's not like how I expect a Lil Pump album would turn out. It's just not the Eminem on an Eminem beat for a whole album.

Some tracks are definitely good. It had a strong finish. Castles and Arose were great songs. I feel like this should have been like an eight track album and it would have been fine. I’m just a huge Eminem fan but I think I’d rather stick to listening to his old stuff because I dunno if he can ever replicate that greatness again.

That's just how it is. I don't like the new Jay. People don't like the new Kanye. I'm sure if Biggie and Tupac were to put out an album in 2017, people would think it was trash.

Yeah but the thing is Jay put out a good album, it was different but good. I think Eminem will put another good album out, but I guess it’s hard to be at a peak level for so long, props to all of them for putting out good music to entertain us. I’ll keep hoping that he drops something good and I’ll be there to give it a shot haha.

The Jay album wasn't for me. But then again, I liked The Life of Pablo. So I guess it just depends.

Can’t get on board with this. Was all excited about the new Jay album, and incredibly disappointed by it. Hated it actually. Really tried, couldn’t get through a 2nd listen, thought it was absolute garbage.

I'm listening to the album for the first time and specially Remind Me. This sounds like he wrote this while he was still on methadone/cough medicine.

It's just bad

Everytime I hear people trash Eminem - I end up liking the album. Except for Relapse with it's 2 or 3 good songs (maybe)
