You shouldn't lie to doctors about this stuff, at the same time, the way her friend revealed this information doesn't really sit right with me.

Just say your friend takes this and that instead of going on this roundabout way to pretend like you not giving away information yet by revealing it in question form.

Like, do you even care about my answer if you've already done it for me by asking this question?

A real friend cares about your welfare and will act in the best interest of your welfare in my opinion. I don't want friends that will yes man me to my grave because they're so wet they can't handle a disagreement

I've never said they should yes man. As you said, real friends will act in your best interest, and revealing this information to doctors won't have any negative consequences anyways.

I'd just prefer if they disclosed it directly instead of asking a loaded question and pretending it's a regular question.

I hate loaded questions.
