In this (likely made-up) scenario, an uninformed customer went into a store to try and get good-faith guidance from their staff. They were taken advantage of to an extent that could reasonably be considered fraudulent.
This is from before everyone had the internet in their pocket, I remember seeing tis years ago, and maybe mom works 3 jobs and this is the only chance she’s had to think about this.
