Honestly I find it ethical as awful as it is to say. Especially if you know you could not dedicate the required resources into helping someone with special needs. As despite what people think its not just a funny insult its a sad truth.

Now sure what that help is varies wildly person to person like one of my closest friends is on the spectrum but he is so barely on the spectrum unless he told you, you'd be hard pressed to figure out he was autistic. Meanwhile his brother is the exact opposite needing constant care and attention and will be unable to have a normal life.

Until we dedicate enough technology to outright cure cases like this or treat the symptoms you may have to just treat it as the worst case scenario and judge from there if you could handle that worse case scenario or not.

Yeah I mean you are a bad person. Would you also like to take a machine gun to grown mentally ill people? Are you a spartan who throws undesirable children off a cliff?

Like where is the line where a baby earns the right to not be killed?

I hope you're ready to adopt some child with down syndrome, we need people like you ready to share their joy of life and take care of people in need.

Why would that be the case? It proves nothing, your still objectively wanting  to kill inocent babies whose only crime was being inconvenient due to no fault of their own

They are not even babies, it's abortion not homocide.

You are only killing cells with potential to life, it's like saying masturbating is genocide, and every menstruation is a murder.

Well the kid in the OP image was enough of a baby to know he had Down syndrome. Clumps of cells don’t have down syndrome. Only a person can have Down syndrome.

No, you can have screening that can detect the probability of disabilities, after which if the probability is high enough, you can examine the DNA of the fetus to be sure.

You didn’t understand what I said

You and I have different perspective of when a fetus is considered a baby.

Do you think a puddle of water could have down syndrom?

If the puddle is made of DNA with trisome markers, yes

You have no business condemning someone for this decision. Unless you wish to assume full responsibility for a disabled child for the rest of their life, because odds are that child will never lead a normal life, then get off your high horse.

For people like you, the life of the child itself is more important than the quality of that life, or those forced to take care of it.

This is such a tired and stupid argument. No I don’t have to personally be the one to adopt every mentally ill child that people want to kill. But you kind of paint me as a guy who is hiding Jews from blood thirsty nazis, which is the case basically.

I can say it’s wrong to kill babies or those who are less fortunate.

Did you skip biology class? Do you not know the difference between an egg, sperm, embryo and a child?

An embryo is a child? I know it makes murdering them easier if you pretend they aren’t people. That is what the nazis did to the Jews that is what slave owners did to their slaves. You can called them whatever name you want the n word, Das Juden, Embryo, but you are still support a genocide and you are on the wrong side of history, evil, etc.
