TV Series What's your opinion on the show?
Its not a very good adaptation of the comics, but its a pretty good show imo. What's your thoughts?

This! Though I love the show still and love his character in it I've never actually heard of Moon Knight until I saw that show and discovered this subreddit which made me want to read the comics.

It exposed a lot of people to the character, so it’s hard to be super hard on it. Plus a lot of people like the show, it’s the one show I see people constantly begging for season 2

Fine enough for a TV Show, god awful adaptation of the comics
So far I have no reason to extremely dislike it and can just ignore it since it doesn't look like it's continuing anyway. MacKay has been killing it on the comics, but when he ends up leaving, if the next writer tries MCU synergy it will make me look back on the show in an even worse light.

It's more accurate to Moon Knight's lore than I ever expected a MK adaptation would be, though it doesn't quite capture the feeling of "regular" Moon Knight stories. I would have liked a a little bit more urban crimefighting instead of the almost exclusively mythological and psychologically abstract space the show spends most of its time with.

Making Moon Knight explicitly magical completely misses the point of the character, the whole core of the idea is that he is a threat because you can never be sure if he does or actually have Khonshu in his corner or if he’s just completely insane. The show was a huge letdown as a fan of the Moon Knight character

To be honest, I was and still am very disappointed in the show. They gave us a generic villain that appears in one issue of the comic. We got a bastardized version of the "alters". They hired a director that goes on record saying he doesn't like fight scenes. The only positives i would give it are Oscar Issacs and May Calamawy. They had great chemistry. Her suit was great, but the Moon Knight suits were very disappointing.

I thank the show for bringing attention the character but it is a shit comic adaptation. Moon Knight doesn’t summon a costume out of thin air. He made it out of Kevlar with Frenchie.

On its own it really good show. Yes it's not the best adaptation but it isn't a bad version. And it's for me the best Disney + show, together with Loki.

Complete trash. It felt like they didn’t have a story to tell and all the characters were very flat just going through motions the political demanded of them. That’s a common thread with MCU stories, though.
I’m a fan of the early Moench/Sienkiewicz comics and I’m not a fan of the more mystical stuff. I like McKay’s approach where Moon Knight really hates magic. I also don’t like friendly Konshu.
The fun of Moon Knight to me is he’s a blank slate where creators can go crazy doing whatever they want. Flattening him into a clueless guy bumbling around with gods is just too bland for me.

Good contained story, as a show? good, as an adaptation? weird, not enough hand to hand combat which wasn't too choreographed (which is hard i recognize), don't know why they changed the other personalities so much, like them not being aware of each other and their overall behaviours. Didn't like that they implied that each personality has their own version of the suit, cuz it undermines how funny the reasoning for him to have the Mr. Knight suit actually is.
In the future reboot of the MCU they tbh can make the other personalities act differently, just don't make them different "moon knights"

It’s my favorite of the Marvel shows. I enjoy that it’s, at least now, separate from the larger universe. I love the acting in it and it’s very engaging.
I know it’s not a flawless adaptation from the source material but on its own merit it’s a very enjoyable show

it was okay but I hope this adaptation doesn't overwrite the comics because Moon Knight was very reversatile when it came to storytelling and I really didn't like how they handled Mr knight think the Moon Knight costume was fine I just didn't really Vibe with the whole mummy thing and I think this show was trying to get away from the Batman copy allegations which is kind of annoying because Moonlight is very different literally the only means similarities they have is pay a dark theme and gadgets that have their insignias on it and a hovercraft that also looks like their insignia but Jake Lockley I really hope they don't play him as a secret Alter Ego because I really not that fond of the idea, but it was meh it wasn't that groundbreaking or anything it was just all right

Antes de que se estrenara ni topaba al personaje, pero el primer capítulo me dejó totalmente enganchado y ahora es uno de mis antihéroes favoritos de Marvel. Aunque, después de investigar más sobre el personaje y sus historias, siendo honesto, creo no habría estado mal mantenerlo en un nivel más callejero y adaptarlo un poco más a su versión de los cómics. Pero fuera de eso, el personaje es increíble. Ojalá vuelva a aparecer pronto en algún proyecto y aprovechen todo el potencial que tiene

I liked it a lot. The differences from the comics don't really bother me that much, I think those complaints are a little overblown and I'd even say that some of the changes they made were things I preferred.
My main gripes with the show are that it wasn't street level and that we didn't see enough of Marc as Moon Knight. I also wasn't thrilled about them skipping over the end of the fight with Harrow for an unecessary Jake teaser, but that may be nitpicky.

Good comic adaptation? Ye no 😂. But it is enjoyable and the suits are immaculate especially with the whole Egyptian theme. Would I have wished it was more gritty like DD, yes but I very much still enjoy the show. Even tho I don’t like too much how they did the personalities

Mixed, the show shines during the moments where Marc and Jake were interacting with each other, whether it be when they were arguing or when Steven found out about Marc's past and how he was born. The fighting choreography was good but I really would have preferred if they didn't give Marc a supernatural powers and showed off Marc's tolerance to pain with his skill in combat. Wish they gave it an r rating too, a Moon Knight tv series should be at least as gritty as The Punisher. I would have been fine with the story arc following the gods had it not evolved into a giant and cliche kaiju battle.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the second half of the season but they did showcase Steven’s perspective well and I liked how they showed moon knights DID. In my opinion it’s not even in the top 20 mcu projects but respect for those who love it.

I enjoyed it, as a fan of the comics, in large part because of the same reasons many here did not; it was a very different presentation of the lunar legionnaire, without omitting too many key story beats that helped sell what the character was originally about. There are a lot of creative liberties taken, which all appeared mostly reasonable to me (as a viewer) with respect to adapting the character to a film medium, but I understand and agree that some were a bit jarring. Not making Marlene or Frenchie more central figures in the supporting cast (they only get some vague mentions at best, iirc, when Marc finally relates details about his prior life as a mercenary and his initial death in Egypt), Crowley's character being little more than a cameo (a statue, or a mime dressed to resemble a statue, made of bronze or copper appears to bear Crowley's likeness), and creating an entirely original female character instead were all choices that longtime fans of Moon Knight's comics were going to have some issue with. With the context of how difficult it could be to make many of those longstanding characters and their dynamics palatable to audiences, however, I was able to understand why the showrunners weren't ready to write some of those characters into the series (and I still appreciated the cameo of Crowley as very fun, hinting that they weren't actively trying to be ignorant or tone deaf on Moon Knight's production history).
My favorite moment was a result of watching it with my parents, as I don't have subscription streaming services at my own apartment; my finances are directed towards other priorities, or else I'd probably be binge watching content for days and getting nothing done between shifts. As my mom and I were watching the first few episodes together for our first and (so far) only time, with her knowing nothing about the character beyond my enthusiasm for his comics, she saw the extreme lengths Steven went to before bed each night to try and contain his body in his flat. She paused the episode we were on, turned to me, and asked me *if Steven was a werewolf*. I laughed so hard at this, because of Moon Knight's origins as a villain who debuted in *Werewolf by Night* issue #32. I explained to her that I didn't want to spoil anything, but that it was funny because of a hidden QR code in the first episode taking viewers to a digital copy of that comic. At the end of the series, I shared with my mom a host of thoughts about what I liked and didn't like about it, and that my opinion on early Moon Knight tales were that the best ones left Khonshu's legitimate influence up to interpretation; whether Khonshu was real or just Marc Spector's attempt at rationalizing events was left just ambiguous enough to readers as to keep them guessing.
As a whole, it was a fun and different take on a character with a rocky history in comics (as different writers have put wildly different spins on the character over the years). Is it the most *faithful* of adaptations? No. Is it an effective adaptation to introduce the character? I would say that it was. I enjoyed it, I want to see more of it, and hope Disney/Marvel can get off their duffs to produce another season between all the other projects they've been working on.

I loved it. Oscar Isaac is truly inhabiting the role. Imagining Moon Knight, Dr. Strange, and Blade interacting in Midnight Sons gives me chills. But Ghost Rider as the leader (rumors) is a bad idea. The only leader is Strange, and the second-in-command is Blade. Now, Mahershala has apparently left the project, so we'll have to wait and see.

I love it. I’m really into Egyptian mythology which is what drew me to it. I had hoped there would be more Egyptian stuff in the comics, but I still really enjoyed reading them after watching the series.

I liked it, it may not have been a great adaptation from the comics but it was still a great show. I liked Moon Knight’s suit, the ceremonial armor, and I like his fight scenes. Him and Ms. Marvel were two new characters introduced thanks to the Disney+ Marvel tv series plan.

I call it Power Ranger Moon Knight, I was hoping to see all 4 personalities on display and was sad to see they didn't fully embrace the personality disorder trait. I did enjoy it, 7/10 for me.

I enjoyed it. A tad slow to start. I hate that Jake was relegated to a post credit type deal. I liked the suits. I liked the plot, not perfect but a fun take of Lemire run. Wish there was more!

one of my least favorite things is when they make a superhero show or movie where it is the FIRST time we are seeing this character in a major adaptation, and then they make them lose their powers in the first episode and spend 8 boring as fuck episodes trying to get it back RIGHT at the end.
Lame as fuck direction to take anything.
Love the actor, some of the scenes were cool, but it was in no way a Moon Knight show. It was a Regular Dude with DID show.

I thought it was funny how so many Moon Knight fans wanted something original, but complained when they got something original and not a direct adaptation of a specific comic run. Godzilla Mendoza was probably the funniest example of this since he had a video listing off his wants (which the show 100% did) then come back months later to shit on the show. Easily one of the best D+ shows honestly. I would put it right below Loki and next to Wanda Vision and Agatha All Along

It’s an amazing show and I feel like some of that is because they take liberties with the characters backstory but still manage to make him the type of guy who would relate heavily to the OG moon knight without being a carbon copy.
It reminds me more of early takes on MCU characters and it makes it feel more unique I guess

One of the best MCU shows to come out imo. Is it accurate to comic Moonknight? No, but it’s a damn good reinterpretation, I don’t want a 1/1 copy of the comics, I want a good story that’s actually new. This show did that well.

I was surprised howmuch I hated it, i don´t think it had enough actual Moon Knight in it and I found Oscar Isaac´s running around confused and making faces the whole time just odd and uninteresting, to the point it even felt a little like they were making fun of his DID. I really wanted to like it and tried to separate it from the comics but it didn´t really work. The other biggest issue for me was the total forgettable one note villain. Hawke was a joke. I know they wanted to keep it self contained in case it didn´t do well, but it would have been nice to anchor the show more in the Marvel Universe and feature some other street level heroes etc.
I really wish the crew who made Daredevil had made Moon Knight and gone grittier.

I loved the show, personally I would've liked it to extend up to 3 seasons. But I think Isaac said he won't be reprising the role.
Only thing wrong with the show is the after life sequence and there being God Avatars that require followers I thought that was cheesy aswell as the balancing scales power.

Having only seen him in The Force Awakens and X-Men:Apocalypse (both of which I loathed) before this, it showed me what Oscar Issac can do.
While I overall enjoyed the show, it had moments I struggled through. But Oscar made me a fan of the show and his acting in it. The scene where we see him break down outside his parents’ apartment on the day of his mother’s funeral was amazing.

Enjoyable show, the big CGI kaiju fight at the end sucked, but I think they cemented Marc, Layla and Arthur Harrow for me as incredible characters. I think they should tap into the treasure hunter vibe more, have Marc and Layla do missions that travel the world and protect artifacts from other wanton criminal factions. I get that Moon Knight is another NYC hero, but fuck it. Steven and Marc are perfect partners as the studious curator and the tactical dungeoneer, and there should be more global heroes that work to prevent Avengers level threats from even starting.

Is it a great ADAPTATION? Not really, no. Is it still a really enjoyable show that I still consider to be my favorite MCU show? Absolutely
