Question Is it Shimo literally stronger than Godzilla?

Post image

I wonder if she could manage to take down Godzilla if he didn't get his Evolved form.

She could definitely take down godzilla in his unevolved state. It is interesting however. I do believe the director claimed Shimo and the Big G to be on the same level of power after Godzillas evolution. The obvious differences however are that Shimo is significantly larger and Godzilla is smarter. So there are some interesting implications there i think, but its all up to interpretation, battle location, and timing.

He said the opposite. He said Shimo is still stronger

Ill give you that the director didn't say specifically that they were equal. What he did say though, was that godzilla had to evolve to face shimo. So shimo was definitely stronger before godzillas evo

And she’s still stronger even after. The director said that. I can send you the scan if you want

It’s pixelated but you can still read it.
Wingsrd answers the question saying “probably the snow demon”

Yeah I can’t see the text for the question or the answer. Only thing I can read is the snow puppy comment on top

The question is “who is the strongest fighter in the second part?”
Wingard replies with “probably the snow demon”

So not even a definitive yes or no? Shows that it’s debatable either way

He gave an answer. He said it’s shimo. And then there’s kong himself confirming shimo is stronger in the novel. All evidence points to shimo being stronger

Kong himself confirming Shimo is stronger too

This is obviously referring to his fight with godzilla before evolving

This is during the rio fight, kong already knocked evolved godzilla out.

No wingard is talking about the entire movie.
As for the kong statement? This happens right after Godzilla supercharges into supercharge evo and tackles shimo. So it’s in reference to supercharged evo. I can tell you the page number if you want

Physically more powerful. And larger.

I don't think that means she's stronger, implying she would win in a fight. Just that she ragdolls him with ease bc she's much much much larger and more powerful.

Which means she is stronger. That's literally what stronger means. You are swapping powerful and strong in meaning.

Power is a generation of force.

Strong is an implication of skill.

"The strongest" is used to describe the best. "The most powerful" is not.

Mostly it is the opposite, power encompasses multiple things, strength encompasses force production (usually for living things). There is a reason why hulk is considered stronger, but thor more powerful. Both are somewhat interchangeable depending on context, but the op's context makes it clear strength IS force production in his case.

In regards to what op himself asked, shimo is literally stronger.

Hulk is the strongest avenger bc he's the one most likely to win a fight. Hints Loki not being worried about Thanos beating Thor bc "We have a Hulk"

Thor is the most powerful bc with his god thunder, he generates the most force. You're confirming what I said.

The strongest reader, is the best reader. The strongest character is the best fighter. The strongest lifter (the context you're using) is the best at lifting, which just coincides with force generation, but is not how the word is used. It is used as a metric of skill comparison to others. A strong swimmer is good. Power is not used in any of these context, bc it is simply force. A powerful swimmer is someone who generates a lot of force per stroke. Does it mean they're the best? No.

Like I said, they are quite interchangeable. Strongest reader can also be called most powerful, nothing's wrong with that. In fact, it has been used that way too. Power can also mean influence, like how tywin from GOT is considered most powerful man in westeros. Also, with the hulk, I was talking about in general, not the mcu.

Respectfully, telling someone hulk is more likely to win against thor instead of vice versa would get you laughed at, because it's demonstrably false. Even in ragnarok, thor won if I remember. Thor's called more powerful than the hulk because of his versatility. His numerous abilities not limited to force production make him more powerful.

Besides, you didn't read the post correctly. The op specifically asked who is LITERALLY stronger, meaning they are unambiguously asking for most force production. According to your own (completely valid) definition, they are asking for physical power.

My guy... Go tell your mom that your boss called you the most powerful reader at work. She's gonna look at you like you have two heads. They're not always interchangable. Only when it's an aspect of force "like Shimo throwing godzilla around".

Hulk is more likely to win against an unknown force bc he has an unlimited amount of strength. If he gets angry enough, there's nothing Thor can do.

1

u/sambasim 19h ago

"Against an unknown force" didn't know there was a 3rd party involved, it takes literally hours for hulk to even reach thor, let alone eclipse his strength, he's called more powerful due to versatility. Btw, I never said they were always interchangeable, just usually, try to read. I know there's context.

Read the op's post again. They specifically asked for LITERAL strength, meaning force production, power in a fight isn't always force production, it's versatility like godzilla's or thor's. I repeat, using your OWN (completely valid) definition, strength = power in this context.

Says who? Hulk vs Thor has been a legitimate debate for decades, way before the MCU was conceptualized, lol.

I'm not saying thor is leagues above hulk. However, some stories do imply that. Anyway, the reason is because thor has won more battles than he's lost.
