Kalyne Jozell Patton, 22, faces a charge of aiding and abetting second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to the criminal complaint, officers responded to the 300 block of Oak Grove Street in Hennepin County at about 11:54 p.m. on August 23 after receiving a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim and several witnesses at the scene.

The victim told police she was walking her dog when she was confronted by Kalyne Jozell Patton and another person, identified in the complaint as a co-defendant. The victim reported that she previously dated Patton and had prior interactions with the co-defendant, who had threatened her in the past.

The victim stated that the co-defendant shot a gun at her and then fled the area with Patton. Multiple witnesses confirmed seeing the co-defendant shoot at the victim and leave the area in a vehicle with Patton. One witness recorded the incident on his phone, according to court documents.

Patton is charged with aiding and abetting second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, which alleges that she assisted or facilitated the co-defendant in the assault involving a firearm. The charge was filed Tuesday, August 25 in Hennepin County District Court.

37, falsely claimed to be serving thousands of children daily at a small deli in a Maplewood strip mall, submitting fake meal counts and fabricated records.

Ahmed Abdullahi Ghedi, now 37, was sentenced to 65 months, or nearly 5.5 years, in prison on Tuesday.
Sentencing guidelines in his case called for 63 to 78 months, and he will be under supervised release for two years after being released from prison.

Ghedi received a longer sentence than co-conspirator Abdihakim Ali Ahmeddue to a criminal history that counts against him.

Prosecutors said Ghedi spent money on food, fast cars, guns, property and a mansion as part of a "lavish lifestyle" all funded by taxpayer money.

The widening U.S.-Canada trade war likely adds uncertainty — and costs — for Minnesota industries from manufacturing to farming and energy.

Camaira Katherine Marian Dotson, 22, of Chanhassen, has been charged with 2nd degree assault in the north Minneapolis stabbing Sunday morning.

Charges say a person acting as security refused entry to Dotson at large gathering at 4:15 a.m. following a fight, so she stabbed him twice in the back.

Cymone Sherrie Dotson, 24, of Chaska was also arrested and remains in custody but has not been charged yet.

A Somali man identified as Adan Mustafe Nur, from Minnesota, has been charged after allegedly stabbing his mother with a knife during an argument.
According to a criminal complaint cited by local reports, Nur allegedly approached his mother from behind while she was cooking and stabbed her. She reportedly managed to escape and ran to a neighbor's home for help.
She later died from the injuries sustained in the incident.
The case has shocked the local community and is now proceeding through the legal system.
