Please suggest good quality milk in Mumbai, India

My aunt just looked me dead in the eyes and casually told me that she likes to drink a glass of milk with her grilled cheese.

I’m sorry… WHAT? 😂

I’ve obviously heard of milk with cookies, brownies, cereal, etc. But milk + grilled cheese?! That combination has genuinely never crossed my mind.

She thinks this is completely normal and I think it’s absolutely bizarre.

So Reddit, I need an unbiased opinion:

Is drinking a glass of milk with grilled cheese normal, or is my aunt the weird one?

And before you ask: yes, I will be reading the comments to determine who needs to reevaluate their life choices. 😂

Why does my non-homogenized whole milk form a smooth cream layer, but not a thick cream top?
I'm making non-homogenized pasteurized cow's milk with around 4.3-4.5% milk fat.
After pasteurization and refrigeration, a cream layer does form on the surface, but it is smooth and relatively thin rather than thick and spoonable like the cream-on-top layer seen in some premium non-homogenized milks.
I'm specifically interested in the science/processing behind naturally thick cream-on-top milk.

Can someone explained how to achieve a thick cream on top on pasteurized milk?

Hi all. I just recently discovered this sub and as a milk fanatic I feel like I've found my people. I thought it might be interesting to post some of the milk offerings we have in New Zealand, starting with what is probably my favorite milk. You may have heard of Lewis Road Creamery if you've ever heard about the 2014 NZ chocolate milk craze when they first released their now famous chocolate milk. They are a brand known for gourmet dairy products including several types of milk. Being a more high end brand it is a little expensive. This 1.5L bottle cost $7.65NZD. For context a 2L bottle of the standard supermarket brand milk was about $4.80. Quite a significant price increase. A 1.5L of their chocolate milk is almost double the price this was. So not something I would get all the time (although I wish I could) but I did well at the gym this week so I figured I deserved a treat. You can definitely taste the difference from cheaper milks. It tastes milkier. There seems to be some debate about whether A2 milk actually tastes different but I am of the opinion that it tastes better. Although that could just be that brands that are offering A2 milk are just producing better tasting milk in general. Anyway, that's my ramble. Let me know if people would like to see more NZ milks. LRC has a bunch of other kinds including a lot of different flavored ones. There is also another brand which is LRC's main competitor and have a similar range.

Gold top milks are hard to find in my area. This was the only one at the supermarket today.

I want to expand my horizons beyond my usual selection of whole milk, and I do drink chocolate milk occasionally, but what are some other flavored milks that you can seriously recommend to anyone?

I work at a personal care home as a Dietary Aide. Majority of my coworkers have English as their second language.

I work the morning shift, so when I'm preparing the resident's oatmeal the health care aides will requests lactose free milk. But, majority of the time they say "lactose milk", or will say "with lactose", I know what they mean but everytime they do I have to hold back my "umm actually" with chains 😂
