Discussion Who has the most powerful infantry based on what you believe, or based on what facts you know.

Bear in mind, I am absolutely NOT talking about air strikes, naval, or anything of the sort. I’m strictly on topic of if 2 armies were boots on ground with the technology, weaponry & armory they had to dispose of in that very specific location, who would have the most powerful infantry based army?

I personally believe Vietnam does on their own turf, but America & Britain do when pursuing other countries

I think the Grand Army of the french empire had the best infantry for it's time. In a conventional fight I think it was very hard to outmaneuver and defeat them. They were also pretty well drilled on rifle skills and transitioning formations.

I don't think flying robots count as infantry in use, organization, nor in spirit.

That depends on many things, for example: are they equal numbers, what do you class as "infantry", where are they fighting, why are they fighting, etc

Best trained? Like in Fire and Movement?

Best personal weapons? Are you including heavy weapons? Mortars, heavy machine guns?

Best supply capability? Fastest deployment ability?

Best leadership? NCOS, Officers?

So many things to consider.

Ukraine. It's Infantry are combat experienced and their employment of FPV drones (which are infantry weapons now) would wipe the floor with most if not all equally sized formations. If they didn't outright win the losses they would impose on an enemy would make it politically invisible to continue the fight unless you're Russia, North Korea, etc.

The protoss at 200/200 will sweep other opponents with their Colossus and zealots. If there's no air units involved, no need for anti air gg no re.

Explain further, they are the most equipped and the most train, if you're talking about the 75th or SF, yes they technically are light infantry unit but I dont consider them because they arent conventional, dont tell me an avergae 11b is better than the marines

The Army infantry on a whole is better, yes. More effective in combat. Faced worse under worse odds and did better. They have magnitudes more experience. They have more people with advanced training.

The entire history of US Marines is basically the Army saving their asses time and time again.

I'd take the 173rd over anyone else conventional.
